Anyone got feedback on the differences between the dvd and blu ray dragon ball z movies like fusion reborn, trucks, cooler, etc.? Is the blu ray better then DVD? (I ask cause sometimes the blu ray is not better than dvd....) I saw dvd steelbooks, but not the blu ray steelbooks. Was there ever a Blu Ray DBZ steelbook release?
What would u consider the best DBZ movie out of the set?
I saw Fusion Reborn long ago, but not sure about the others.

I got the following:

Fusion Reborn $6.99
History Trucks $4.99

I also look online, but only see World strongest for $4.99, but didn't have in store. Are these two movies a good deal?

From what I've read the Blu-rays are worse because of a digital noise removal filter that took away a lot of detail and the Blu-rays are zoomed in and are missing a large portion of the picture.

The DVDs are in widescreen too btw.
I'm looking for the Cooler Steelbook in case anyone finds it.
All I have to say is good luck... that one & along with Android 13/Bojack steelbook (the only one I'm missing) are impossible to find :whistle2:( Wonder why where they printed in small numbers :whistle2:(

I prefer the blu rays. It's so much nicer having the whole screen taken up, and the colors look much brighter/deeper/vibrant

been trying to find the cooler one for a while... saw one about a year ago before they got impossible to find at a fye. when they had the others at 9.99 the cooler one was 29.99 or something so I passed figuring I could pick one up later... esp since I had just bought the trucks one at big lots for 3.00... well it was the last one I saw...

also didn't realize that the android 13 one had achieved the same status... I picked one of those of at a fye for 5.99 or so 8-9 months ago... so maybe check fye/suncoast/sam goody's...

I still need the cooler one and the tree of might/lord slug one... should go ahead and bite the bullet on it before it's gone I guess.

I got most of the DBZ steelbooks at Big Lots for $3 each.

EDIT: Holy fuck, I just looked on Amazon and the Cooler steelbook is $114. Think i'm going to sell mine that paid $3 for. I just checked and it's still sealed.

I just sold an entire set of these a few months ago for like $70. Damnit!! I didn't realize that two of them were worth so much!!! *sulk*

Wow didn't realize some of these were worth money. I also bought some at big lots for $3 each including the Cooler one, I haven't even watched any of them yet, I opened them all though. Is the cooler one worth anything used? I don't even see any listed.

I'm heading to big lots this week to check. DO they have an actual electronics section, or is it just in a random clearance bin?

It entirely depends on the store, some have DVDs in their electronic section and some have them on a DVD shelf or bin.

lol if I didn't see this thread I would've never known that some of the DBZ steelbooks were worth so much. I picked up Super Android 13/Bojack Unbound for $3 (it's still sealed) last year and have no interest in DBZ. Wish I'd picked up the other 2 copies they had.

The item only had one listing $114 which will probably never be sold. It's about as indicative of real market prices as you listing it for $1,000.

Actually there were 2 listings. The other listing was for almost $200. There are two on ebay for $150 BIN. A used one up to $68 with 20 hours left. Completed listing for used one at $96.

When I went to BB and bought all of their 5 Centimeters Per Second they sold instantly on Amazon for $85 because everyone else had them listed for over $100.

I bet I could put my Cooler steelbook up now on Amazon for $90 and it will sell in one day.

You're right. Do it. It's only fair to deprive compulsive hoarders of their money. It handicaps their ability to breed and spread their kind.
