[YMMV] Dead or Alive Utlimate $39.99 at Best Buy

Does the BB DOA:U come packaged in 1 or 2 dvd cases? Gamestop had the double case edition and advertised it as an exclusive to their store. Just want to know if that was B.S. or not.

I just picked it up yesterday - $49.99. And judging that it's $54.99 at EB, I think this is probably a mistake.

I still have my pre-order at Outpost for $37.99 with free shipping, though if this is a mistake, I might have to go pick it up and tell Outpost that I'm not interested.

I myself am still waiting for my pre-order from outpost. I got on 37.99 deal a couple of weeks back. Has anybody that preordered DOAU at 37.99 from outpost gotten their order in yet? Just wondering when I can expect mine.

Same here.
How are the people who bought this game liking it? or Hating it?
Well I rented it ( just couldn't wait for my pre-order) and I love it. Then again I am a DOA fanboy. The live is great, but a bit laggy.

It's an excellent game if you haven't played DOA1/2, but the lag can be awful in the arcade rooms (and 90% of the games are set up this way). Only play with people in your region, as the latency issues are almost as bad as Steel Battalion: LoC.

FYI on OutPost, they don't get their orders in until the week after. If you're lucky you'll get it next Thursday...IMO it's not worth it if Gamestop has a bonus item plus free overnight (esp. since the final price was $50, not $55).

I was in BestBuy last night; they had dozens of copies listed at $50. This must be a local special (or a mistake), please edit the topic to "YMMV."

I also preordered from Outpost.com for the 37.99 deal, but couldn't help myself and went and got it from EBGames. It is sweet! I know its just DOA2 and I've had both DOA2 on DC and PS2, and DOA3 on Xbox, but the online competition is awesome! I like it much better than Mortal Kombat: Deception (IMHO). In DOA:U you might hit some lag but your not dropped like in MK:D. The only gripe I think anyone has is that you can't play a tag team match with 4 players simulntaneously online and tag in your partner on the fly. You can play 4 players, but no tagging in battle.

Yes still get it. It is an awesome fighter, and was made with such passion. That opening to DOA2 is freakin' awesome!!!
So if I am not planning on playing online. I should get DoA 2 instead of this?
This is a highly enhanced version of DOA 2, with a perfect port of the original DOA.

It's worth getting this if you play online or not.
There is also a 5$ coupon in the madden coupon book. I found the coupon book in the same area that the games are stored.
Is there a new version of the book? I have one of the coupon books with me and it definitely does not have a DOA:U coupon.

No, there's a coupon near the back that gives you $5 off any Live-enabled game.

It was at a B&M store. I'mm try to scan my recipt to show you I'm not lying. I just went on ahead and pick it up because I was thinking that it was a mistake.
