I went into my local Dollar General Market and noticed they have some PS2 and Xbox games for sale. Nothing earth shattering, but they did have some decent games like Outrun 2 and Beyond Good and Evil (PS2). It may be worth checking out.

At my local Dollar General, they also had some $8 PS1 games. Again, though, nothing to get too excited about.

Only things I can recall seeing that were somewhat interesting:

PS2-
Ape Escape: Pumped and Primed
Beyond Good & Evil

"Dollar General Market"? They are just "Dollar General" round here. (I'm going to assume it's the same store.

I've never seen games there, though I haven't been in there in quite some time.

Dollar General Markets are grocery stores that are operated by the Dollar General company. They just opened one down the street from my parents house.

Thanks OP. I will check this out when I am there this weekend.

Yeah, my local Dollar Generals have sold games including PC ones for a couple of years now.. like everyone has mentioned though the games aren't anything to get too excited over. PS2/XBox are $15, PS1 games are $8-10 depending on title and the PC games are $5-8. But i did pick up 'Ground Control 2' for the PC for $6 from there..

Thanks OP. I live close to a regular DG and today I kept an eye out for the PS1 and PS2 games. I only noticed the XB games before (Quantum Redshift, Munch's Oddyssey), which I obviously passed on. But today, I picked up Ape Escape P&P for $15. That's a little better than EB ($18 new), so overall a decent deal.

Oh! Thanks for the clarification. I have never heard of them having their own grocery stores! (Haven't seen any around here.)

The Dollar General stores in my area are so disgusting that I'm surprised that OSHA / The Fire Marshall hasn't shut them all down. I didn't see any games the last time I got up enough courage to enter their store - If they had any they are probably buried under rat droppings in the stock room. I suppose that since they cater to poor folks they figure they can get away with it.

I think the grocery chain is fairly new. The one near my parents house just opened last month.
