I think the restriction of only one game ever is QUITE too harsh. One game per deal is more fair. But I do see why they would want to do this. People are abusing the deals and getting away with tons for nothing.
TRU wanted to get rid of tons of junk and it just happened to be during the times when EB had GREAT deals. Coincidence? Probably but it is a bit weird. Not that TRU is trying to ruin EB but it is a bit odd.
I did buy around 30 games. But I am keeping like 15 for myself. The deal got me some extra money and got me to trade in some of my old crap that is on the restricted list for some credit that I wouldn't have otherwise.
I hadn't played most of the games in over a year and trading them in was a good deal. It is EB's fault for running a deal like this. They know tons of crap will come through the doors. But they also have the right to refuse multiples copies or service or anything they wish to.
I agree that the hoarders need to be stopped. This should hurt them bad enough if it is in effect soon enough. Maybe they will think twice about buying tons of games.
Friday I went and traded some of the games I got. OMFG they had tons of games to shelve. Piles of games were sitting on the floor waiting for the poor clerk to rack em. Crappy games a plenty. Great for the people that want the deal but horrible for EB and people loooking for games to actually play.
Forgot to add: What the hell does FYE mean? And why don't they add it to the underlined mouse over terms?
