Saw this at the Phillipsburg, NJ Walmart. They only had 1. I would have bought it if I didn't already have an Xbox...Not really a deal per say, but still...
Someone already ruined it by returning the bundle bc it did not work
Hahahaha...oh my fucking god.
They're not fined, I don't know where you get your info.
Uh, you get fined thousands of dollars for breaking street dates. I work it retail, it says right on the boxes I unpack. But I wonder how street dates get broken so often, because the computers at my work say "cannot tell till..." when I scan them.

Yeah, we wouldn't sell it early if we caught it, and wouldn't give it to you for that price, maybe 10% off maximum but not 100 dollars off. Sorry but, too many customers misplace products that there's a new policy in place for situations like that.
Hey, for anyone who did manage to get their hands on this, I just have a quick question about the bundle. There's a single cable that connects the Kinect sensor to the new slim 360, but for older models, it needs both a USB cable and a power cable. Did the bundle come with the USB cable and power cable, so that I could hook it up to an older 360 as well, or does it just come with the cable that hooks it to slim 360s?

Don't have it but I know... it comes with what you need to hook it up to EITHER console. Not only that but it comes with a USB extension because if you have something else hooked into the back USB you'll then need to hook it up to the front..
I know that when you buy Kinect by itself it does, but when you buy a Kinect bundle with a slim, does it have those extra cables as well? If you know, how do you know?

Both whoever bought the bundle and whoever sold it to them are dumbasses !! Add to that I am the dumbest of all of them because I drove all the way to Walmart lol

Exactly what I've been wondering.

XBox Slim has an extra USB.

Not talking about ports. Talking about the cable between the Kinect and the 360. It doesn't use USB to connect to slims, but it does use USB to connect to old models.

No, if retailers got fined thousands of dollars by the companies they buy from, they would stop buying from them and MS and other companies can't afford to not sell their product to big retailers like that. If a store constantly releases items early, they'll notice their shipments arriving later and later but they won't be fined some ridiculous amount.

That is false. I worked at KB Toys the company was fined over $200k due to breaking street dates on dreamcast and in both situations everyone who was on staff at the time of the sale were fired as well as the store manager. (several breaks across the company)

This happened again with the PS2.

The 360 launch went smooth as far as I could tell but I bailed shortly there afterwards for greener pastures.
