CAGiversary!
I rummaged thru the $4.99 - 9.99 bin at
Circuit City - Crabtree Valley - Raleigh, NC
and found 2 copies of MK:DA for $.01 each.

Note: These were marked "Not for resale - Promotional Copy Only" on the cover, but looked to be the FULL game. They also had some PS2 Jampack demo discs for $.01 too.

I picked up both. $.02 total.

Took them to EBGAMES (same location) and traded them along with the following:

$3.00 PS2 MK:DA
$3.00 PS2 MK:DA
$1.00 XB Defender
$1.50 XB Terminator 3
$1.00 XB Celeb DeathMatch
$1.00 XB Reign of Fire
$2.00 XB MechAssault
$6.00 XB SW:KOTOR
$0.50 XB NHL Rivals 2004
$2.00 XB Rocky
$0.25 XB Outlaw Volleyball - Blockbuster exclusive
$3.00 XB Metal Arms

Then using EBGames Promo of
Trade 3 Games and get extra $10 credit
ADD $3.33 BONUS to 8 titles above
ADD $3.34 BONUS to 4 titles above

Then I purchased
XB MechAssault 2 Limited Edition
XB NFS: Underground 2

Used Promo of
Traded XB CastleWolfenstein & Outlaw Golf (Blockbuster Exclusive)
for $25.00 and got
XB NFS:Underground 2 for $24.99

PRE-OWN TOTAL : -$89.25

NEW MERCH TOTAL: $106.98

Total: $17.73

The MK:DA Promos didn't seem to scan in EB's register, but the clerk did something and didn't say anything, so cool.

So thought I would post this in case you are in Circuit City might want to look in the clearance box. I had to dig quite deep to find them. YMMV.

These were the promo copies that were given "free" with purchase of some other rull retail game last year. I got lucky with a clueless clerk and picked up a copy of the Xbox version for a penny last year. If you get a clerk who knows what they're doing they'll probably tell you "we can't sell you that" (and later pocket the game themselves).

psi-ops was the other game

I got like 2 copies of the Xbox version and 4 copies of the PS2 version last year. Sold 2 copies on half.com for like $17 each. As for trading it on EB, they will just enter it by hand if the ucp code doesnt scan.
i got a copy of Tetris Wrolds/Clone wars, xbox, for $.01 in this same fashion at CC.
I tried this too, but I got a clerk who knew too much and told me they'd only sell me that if I bought a system with it.

And I saw a copy of that very same bundle on the shelf at CC with a $99.99 pricetag on it.

I remember seeing a few of those $99.99 TW/SW:CW come in and nearly died on the floor laughing.

I'm pretty sure that those ones are coming up at $0.01 by now, the only raeson why they were marked at that from my understanding is to make the value of it seem bigger to the average Joe Sixpack consumer who is buying an XBox and is getting the 2 pack outside of the game machine itself. [-X

I am with you on this one. I can't stand crap like this... but hey, Capitalism is great. While I wouldn't do it myself I certainly can't blame someone for doing it.

Well the op likely get more by ebaying it. Anyway i still have copies of both ps2 and xbox version so if anyone wants to work out a trade or sale pm me.

Yo, wasn't like I was expecting to find them. I was just looking for 2 cheap titles to complete my trade. I got lucky and found 2 for a couple pennies.

But guess What there's another CC across the street from the mall and there's one in Cary & Durham that are close by. Which is why I posted this here in the 1st place, so if others happened by a CC, then they may want to be on the lookout. **geesh**

That's one thing I've noticed about these boards, is that instead of just using the information members post, there's always someone whining "what about meeeeee?". Go rummage thru the bargain bins yourself. If you find a good deal, use it, then report it here so others may be able to do it. I posted the store so you'd know not to go to that one.

And as far as Ebay, I wasn't looking to make bank, I was just looking to complete a trade and get a couple new titles below retail by using a retailer's promo deal.

If makes you feel any better, if EB hadn't accepted them in trade, then I would have sent one to my brother and gave the other one to a friend as I don't even have a PS2.
