YMMV ToysRUS "Green" Clearance is up to 70% off!

I picked up Sin and Punishment for the Wii ($5) and Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition ($12).
The had a variety of other games, I picked these up in Leominster MA.

The worker said the prices will steadily decrease, but he is not sure when the next drop will be.

They had an assortment of other games on ALL consoles.
Some hidden gems.

Just look for the games with a Lime Green tag on them. They all say "Was $##.##" but don't give the real price until you check them either at a register or kiosk.

Finally got my Vita today! Friggin' BL2 bundle was so hard to find here in SATX. Called so many stores and found one at a random Target. Happy to have it, might wait to upgrade to a bigger card, don't know yet.

 
I'm going to be near a TRU store for something I have to do for work this afternoon. If I find Kid Icarus 3DS there, will that make a good trade item? I already own it, but I'm trying to get one of the other TRU items I don't already own.

It will make an alright trade item, but there probably won't be any copies left. Most stores seem to be sold out of the really good titles by now.

The most desired game for trading between members seems to be Wonderful 101, but those are very rare to find in stock as well. Check for that, Starfox 64 3D, Kid Icarus, maybe NintendoLand and Art Acedemy too.

it will void the clearance blast. It price match or promo, on or the other. Toys r us has it programmed in the computer to always automatically void any promo when a price match is used unlike target.
 
I saw a Sonic the hedgehog chemical plant racetrack with Sonic and Knuckles on Brown clearance for like ~$15 wanted to check it out but a lot of reviews blammed it and said the cars flew off track around the turns.

Anyone here use it? Could always check it out and return it if it does suck

Went ahead and tried it out on my way home. It worked, but the clearance is voided. It's the PM or the clearance. Bonus was that they had a sand trooper figure. I couldn't it find anywhere except amazon and it was $40 there. Good day for me! Bought two COD 1 to add to my wii u library and 1 to flip for the Lego movie at bb

Did you notice that the wii u version dropped in TIV? I was really disappointed.

 
Check today my nearest TRU and saw few games that are in the OP but none were in clearance, so I ask an employee to scan them to see if they have any discount but nope. Just in case the games were ICO/SotC HD, Ducktales Remastered, and Jak & Daxter Collection.

For Ducktales, only the non-disc version for PS3 was clearance. For the others, did they have a barcode sticker covering the original barcode?
 
Good news and bad news from today at the Newington, NH TRU:

Good news:  Did 3 return rebuys for previous clearance items with no problems at all.  Also got a copy of Killzone Mercenary green tagged $39.99.  It was the last copy in the store I think.

Bad news:  I bought 3 copies of COD Ghosts Wii U and they rang up at $15 instead of $11.98.  Where did the $11.98 price come from?  I was in a hurry so I didnt bother trying to argue or anything, was still happy to pay $15 each and take them next door to BB and get $22.40 a piece for them :whistle2:D

You would have had to price match the website. The website currently has it at $11.98.

yeah, somebody mentioned that in another thread. I have a feeling the price match wouldnt have gone well since right next to the the register there was a big sign saying "WE DO NOT PM AMAZON PRICES" and I was in a hurry. Ah well, next time.

It was the Toys R Us website with the $11.98 price so you shouldn't have had any problems.

I would definitely say something about that sign. Amazon (non marketplace) is a website that TRU price matches. It's even listed in their price match policy online.

That's a negative? To me that sounds like a feature that would make it better.

 
Found a Team Fortress 2 Series 1 Red Pyro today, came out to $6.10 with tax. I passed one up when I was on vacation in Louisiana a few months back and regretted it. It was unmarked and next to the new series figures. The store must have gotten a restock at some point, because I've know I checked them before. Apparently it's pretty rare now, only two on Amazon are $90.
 
I left Ninja Gaiden alone for weeks at my TRU waiting for the clearance % to go up, and it looks like some dirty reseller came in and snatched all the copies of that and anything else mildly tempting once the green % went to 75%.  Come on, just leave one behind. I was actually going to play it!

 
I work at a a TRU store, I've heard that the green may be going up to 80% sometime next week. That's just what I've heard though so don't hold me to it. Just FYI for those of you out there who are like me and are holding out for a better deal.

 
The drops are going on a 25-30 day schedule.  Just speculating here, yellow and brown should drop next week.  Blue should drop the following week, but with the event nearing its end, they could drop all colors early July and let it ride the month til it ends.
