YMMV ToysRUS "Green" Clearance is up to 70% off!

I picked up Sin and Punishment for the Wii ($5) and Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition ($12).
The had a variety of other games, I picked these up in Leominster MA.

The worker said the prices will steadily decrease, but he is not sure when the next drop will be.

They had an assortment of other games on ALL consoles.
Some hidden gems.

Just look for the games with a Lime Green tag on them. They all say "Was $##.##" but don't give the real price until you check them either at a register or kiosk.

If you bothered to read those posts at all, you would know its because the TRU cags are informing us that green, yellow and brown tagged items are going to 80% thursday aka tomorrow.

75 green and blue 90 has been the price for a couple of weeks now.

I'll uhh. Try to help out. My store is highly unorganized, so that's why sometimes I'm a little iffy on what's going on when. But I will definitely try to get the solid facts and deals to my fellow CAG'ers.

Any word on another increase next week? When I scanned a price at the store the screen said ends 8/2...

My local TRU had at least 20 copies of wiiu COD ghosts and Wiiu cod blops2, a few wiiu AC black flag, at least 20 Skylanders giants bundle for 3ds marked to $10, and three Skylanders Spyro 3ds marked to $12...

So mad they sold that wii bundle yellow clearanced, was hoping to get it today.

you guys are the lucky ones, been there a couple of times and it was all sing it, Barbie, some nickelodeon stuff, I carly, etc.. if there was anything good, it went when it was at 30 off, im done with this store.

it supposed to go all the way to 90% each color is. So more then likely since everything is at 80% now it will follow as:
7/24 green, yellow, brown 85%
7/31green yellow brown 90%
Not 100% but just a educated guess since everything will eventually go to 90%

I played BO2 online and it was alright, the Wii U version had a surprisingly good community, but I kinda fell out of it quickly since I was just getting K/D ratios of like 1:10. Thanks for the review though, I think I'll go ahead and grab it.

 
Man, every time I think I'm done scraping the bottom of the clearance barrel, I go back for more. TONS of Ghosts :wiiu:, but I just can't bring myself to pay $12 for it yet when I can just play my :360: version. It looked like they brought a lot of old superbuy/pre-owned shovelware from the back, but I was able to find a couple decent snags now that Green is 80%

Last copy of Crosswords Plus :3ds: for $3, I figure I'll sit on this for the return/rebuy @ $1.50
Last copy of Naruto Powerful Shippuden :3ds: for $6 to give to my friend who likes Naruto, might sit for the rebuy depending on when I see him next

Last two copies of Samurai Warriors 3 :wii: for $4, one for me, one for another friend to help get hype for Hyrule Warriors

Boy I bet they're going to be pissed when I go back in to do a return/rebuy on 8 games...

 
At my nearest TRU right now. 6 copies of Star Fox 64 3D, 2 of Resident Evil Revelations (WiiU) and a shitload of CoD: Ghosts (WiiU).

Now the question is: buy two copies of SF64, or be a dick and buy 'em all? :D

Giants only for the figure, the vanilla and Swap Force 3DS versions are quite respectable though if not quite as good as the console games. If you already have the figures I would recommend the first one for under $10.
 
I picked up a second Muppet. They had all of the outfits now as well. Now I can do my own Muppet Shows, complete with costume changes. I wish they had more Hunger Games action figures, those would make great gag gifts for my wife, but they only have Cato who I don't even know who that is. I could build an army of him though, because there are about 40 of them.
On a game related note, $6 was apparently my buy price for Epic Mickey for Wii U because I got that today as well.

Basically buying everything that the store has that's not appealing at anything but 80-90% off but at that point "oh why not".

I was at a store about an hour from home that we stopped at on the way back from camping. There was a good number of people there but they still had a lot more interesting stuff than around here.

Mainly random board games, a lot of stuffed animals (including a Morbo plush that I expected to be Yoda when I dug it out), lots of Angry Birds Star Wars stuff (including every variant of Jenga), a few educational toys, a Star Trek LEGO knock off (sad they didn't have the big ships) which was unmarked, and various other little things.

Only video game related thing was two copies of R&C Tools of Destruction. Also got a Mario Kart Knex set for like $13 down from $50 on Normal clearance.
 
Went back to a TRU that had like at least fifty copies of CoD Ghosts :wiiu: sitting around and they were down to six. Made that five after I left. Other than that, it was just junk. Even the PSP Go memory cards were gone. Oh well, all good things must come to an end I suppose.
 
Yeah, anything becomes good when it's cheap enough.  I was tempted to buy like 10 copies of DJ Hero 2 to return when it goes down to 90% but thought better of it. :rofl:

exact reason why I bought the playmobile western fort set for only $30 lol didn't need it but I had the same set as a kid so got it for nostalgia

Yeah, I had just gotten that adjusted to 70% off on Tuesday too and then came home and saw the percentages were dropping Thursday. Wasted a $5 coupon on it that I should have used on something else. Oh well, not like I'll be able to complain once 90% drops and I get it for $15.

 
Went by again on the way to Best Buy, grabbed Deepak Chopra's Leela :wii: for $3 and Ratchet & Clank Future Tools of Destruction :ps3: for $6. Added to the return/rebuy stack.

There was a neckbeard with a greasy ponytail eyeballing me and looking behind all the stuff I looked behind, checking out clearance, so I figured it might be my first run in with a wild Hoardo. They had one last copy of Zone of Enders HD :360: for $6 and two copies of Prototype 2 :ps3: for $8, but I passed on both. Pretty much everything else was Sports games from past years.

 
I found Kinectimals with Bears (the edition with the stuffed teddy bear) for a dollar after the 80% off lol.

I managed to get a Wonderful 101 for $6 and a small Pacman plush for $1.60. Luckily W101 wasn't tagged, or it probably would have been gone forever ago.

...now I just need a Wii U.

 
yea theres a bunch of stuff that went off clearance. Infamous and Mod Nation Racers were both tagged green at my store, but would NOT ring up the 80% off. Both of them had to have overrides.

 
I came across this sale too late. I was hoping to find Star Fox 64 3DS, but the three TRU I went to were thoroughly picked clean. To TRU's credit, mostly everything in the video game section had clearly marked clearance items.

However, I was able to pick up an Afterglow Wired Stereo headset for $6! It was not labeled for clearance. The guy at the counter was shocked and congratulated me on the find!

 
My TRU was pretty much picked clean.  I picked up some crap I didn't need..

Epic Mickey 2 (Wii) $4

Madden 13 (Wii U) $4 - yeah yeah, I know it's not that great of a deal but I recently got a Wii U and wanted a game

Zone of Enders HD Collection (360) $6

PS3 Move Controller Chargers x2 (Ps3) $3

They had some other items left but mostly junk.  I was tempted by Black Ops 2 (Wii U) @ 12 but decided to pass.  They also had Assassins Creed black flag for $12.  They had a few other games green tagged in the cases but nothing good.  They had tags for ICO and Ratchet and Clank but they were gone.  Same with many of the other items.

Thanks for the heads up though!
