YMMV ToysRUS "Green" Clearance is up to 70% off!

I picked up Sin and Punishment for the Wii ($5) and Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition ($12).
The had a variety of other games, I picked these up in Leominster MA.

The worker said the prices will steadily decrease, but he is not sure when the next drop will be.

They had an assortment of other games on ALL consoles.
Some hidden gems.

Just look for the games with a Lime Green tag on them. They all say "Was $##.##" but don't give the real price until you check them either at a register or kiosk.

Grabbed a few ps3 games and a gps unit today.

1. Little big planet karting $8
2. Hitman absolution $8
3. Resident evil revelations
4. Skyrim legendary edition
5. Garmin nuvi 42

Things I saw on clearance:

gt5 xl $8
lbp goty $8
modnation racers $8
kid icarous 3ds $12
lots of bluetooth speakers, ipod docks, and headsets on sale, A LOT of Wii u games at the tustin location

First experience at the first store in tustin. I ask to do price checks on skyrim and a copy of resident racoon city that I thought was revelations. First she proceeds to get the copy of skyrim (she proceeds to grab the first copy with the crappier sleeve) then I ask for resident evil hoping it was revelations. at this point she was already bothered cause you know it's such a hassle to grab another game that's inches away. I see it was racoon city, then I tell her i'll pass. At this point shes already bothered. Then I ask if she knew if the gps unit was marked down to 40 since it has a green sticker. She proceeds to tell me she doesn't know what im pointing at. I hate carrying cash so I figured I'd do a split transaction. Right away she tries to sell me credit, as if I didn't have enough money to pay for everything at once. Can't believe she had the audacity to try to get me a credit card after her attitude. I was wishing the nicer lady that was covering her break would have wrong me up. Went to store number two where the associate was friendlier but thought it be who of her to make me wait 15 minutes on 2 separate occassions while she kept stocking xboxes and go backs. I can relate to these workers since they're under payed having worked in retail and all but this is not the right way to treat people. No wonder no one walks into toys r us! Overall I was pretty satisfied with my haul just dissapointed with the associates. It's not like I was asking them to do something unreasonable or time consuming such as calling multiple stores etc. lol
What I'll never understand is if you work retail and you're paid by the hour anyway, why the fuck do you care how you spend your time working? Seriously why would helping a customer in any way be a bother to you? Are you that desperate to get back to stocking and organizing crap?

Don't jump down my throat I put in some retail time back in the day working the CD and movie racks at Best Buy. Not a career situation but I know how people can be...but if they're being polite and you still give attitude then fuck you. I will call every manager, district manager and corporate number I can find until the company deals with it. I accept the gift card and I'm sure something to some degree happens on their end. If we don't speak up then they'll just grow bolder thinking there are no consequences for being jerks and that's not how I want to shop.

One of the managers at my TRU was saying that in may she thinks all colors are going 60% off. Sooooo I will be getting a few red 3d's and re selling

Totally agree with you there. When I worked retail I had no problem accommodating polite customers to a reasonable extent. I was polite and friendly not at all like some customers that ask for absurd request when there's 30 people in line behind them. Dropped what I was doing when I was stocking to help my customers. I was in a hurry today and didn't feel like dealing with it. Experiences like this is why I prefer to shop online.

Kid icarus is probably in the phase of becoming hard-to-find-new. Target, bestbuy, and walmart dont have it in stock anymore, and im guessing toysrus soon. You can still find it new at gamestop and amazon (30 dollars right now), but guessing it will join the boat kingdom hearts ddd and ocarina of time are floating in.

In terms of quality, it is pretty top notch, especially being compared to he releases at the time, and holds up against the 3ds games of today.

Is kid Icarus a highly sought after game? Probably should have bought one even though I don't have a 3ds
It's been out of print for some time and comes with a stand and cards that you don't find with used copies. Spiked up over MSRP for a bit before people realized it came back down again but still sitting near $35 usually. The few stores that have had it in stock still have been unloading it so I definitely don't think it's going back down. Between the added stuff you get with a new copy and that it seems a lot of people skipped it or didn't have a 3DS but it's got good buzz now it's a pretty safe buy. At $18 or whatever TRU is charging for it on clearance you won't be losing money if you decide not to keep it.

I'm guessing most of us don't care how we spend those hours. Unfortunately supervisors expecting a certain amount tasks and duties to be finished within our shifts do. I'm not advocating or excusing poor customer service, buts it not as clean cut as "well I'm paid by the hour so however I spend that is fine" like you make it out to be. At the end of the day someone is bound to be pissy about what was accomplished whether it was a customer like you or a supervisor/coworker.

Went to my local TRU and they didn't have anything I wanted. Would anyone be willing to pick these up, or at least some of them? I'd PayPal the amount first, plus shipping:

Wonderful 101 (Wii U)
Mass Effect 3 (Wii U)
Professor Layton Miracle Mask (3DS)

Also, does anyone know if TRU is restocking these games? If so, I guess I could wait and see what gets refilled.

I seriously doubt they're restocking unless for some reason inventory gets shifted from one store to another. This whole sale is eerily reminiscent of a liquidation with the tiered and increasing percentage discounts.

I thought about this shortly after posting, and you have a point. I also wonder if employees are forced to take overtime to finish a task if it didn't get done.

It's funny, my local TRU near my work looks pretty much untouched (tons of great titles still) minus the stuff that I got! Either there are no gamers in my area or nobody shops there. lol

I can tell you it's quite the opposite. If something isn't done by the end of your shift it is either handed off to whoever takes over or works the next day or added to your next list of tasks. Also if it becomes regular that your not completing tasks in a timely matter your hours get cut and given to people who get more done. As you could see on here, many people only do the "surveys" when they get bad service from someone so those only drive the hours down more as well. This is how it was at my last two retail jobs before I got out of retail.

Retail isn't so simple anymore.

Hey all I still have a copy of Star Fox 3DS available looking to trade for Resident Evil: Revelations 3DS or Kid Icarus. PM me if interested

Pretty much this.

Some employees can just be bad apples though. Same with customers. As for feedback, its definitely important to acknowledge the positive experiences as well as the negative. Most dont want to be bothered giving a positive survey or even simply asking for a manager to give a good word on a helpful employee as there is no incentive, but its appreciated much more than you would think and does have an impact.

Don't know if it's been mentioned but I saw Yoshi's Island DS on green clearance. I believe that game was only sold at Toysrus period.

I saw Need for Speed Most Wanted and Far Cry 3 for PS3 on green clearance for $8.

Nope was sold everywhere. I got it from BBY or maybe Amazon back when it came out. Finding it new and on clearance isn't a bad thing though.

What about need for speed most wanted for wiiU? I have been looking for that game for a long time now.

Not clearance exactly, but be careful buying preowned games at TRU. I bought a copy of blops II 360 and the top art was scratched through and there were a bunch of hairline cracks around the inner ring.

Luckily I opened it before I left to check, and they ended up just replacing I with a new copy.

Grabbed a MGS HD Collection on 360 for 12 and the Just Dance 2014 + Wii motion controller for $28. Both were green tagged.

Also went alittle hoardo on the games so please forgive me

I have updated the list to the best of my ability. I'm going to put a link in my signature so it's easier for people to find. I've done the best I can. I am now going to FINALLY play Chrono Phantasma. Haven't been able to touch it since I bought it. >.< Gota love life (and your gamepad breaking).

PS If anyone is up for alphabatizing the list I and others would greatly appreciate it. Just PM the edited list to me and I will credit you for your hard work.
