YMMV ToysRUS "Green" Clearance is up to 70% off!

I picked up Sin and Punishment for the Wii ($5) and Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition ($12).
The had a variety of other games, I picked these up in Leominster MA.

The worker said the prices will steadily decrease, but he is not sure when the next drop will be.

They had an assortment of other games on ALL consoles.
Some hidden gems.

Just look for the games with a Lime Green tag on them. They all say "Was $##.##" but don't give the real price until you check them either at a register or kiosk.

I really, REALLY want to find Kid Icarus or Kingdom Hearts 3D, but I've had no such luck.

So far I've gotten that Kinectimals + FAO Schwarz bear (just for the bear), and an XBL Gold Starter Kit with some Halo minimates. I've tried to get a couple stores to sell me the Day One XBL card but none of them will budge. I want Shadow Jagooooo.

Also, if it helps anyone, the TRU in Times Square had a bunch of the XBL Gold Starter kits when I was there yesterday, but I passed on getting another one because a bunch of them looked like they were opened at one point. I didn't check every single one though

Rivergate (Goodlettsville, TN) TRU has Gran Turismo 5XL sitting in a cardboard display with 5 other games on the floor behind the counter. They've been there for 2 weeks, today I asked for the GT5XL and the girl scanned it and it came up $19.99. I asked about the price discrepancy, but that question was above the associates pay grade. Don't remember the 5 other games, but they had at least 5 copies of each in the display.

Would have liked to get Skyrim Legendary, but there were none.

Been in the store 4 times in the last  couple weeks, one time 2 associates ask me for help immediately and then disappear, next few times no one is around.

Next closest TRU is about an hour away, so I guess I'm out of luck and patience.

Olathe, KS Toys R' Us is tapped. There are a few things left but it's mostly shovelware, greatest hits titles, and older games from the yearly franchises.

I caved in and bought a level up arsenal folding storage ottoman for $12. What do you guys think about the Turtle Beach P11 headset for $20?

Saw a Gears 3 console for $329.99 on yellow tag clearance, PSP Go $99.99 yellow clearance, and Kinectimals w/ Bear green clearance at $4.98. My store had 9 of them.

All these are the regular prices, so adjust accordingly.

If anyone finds either Kingdom Hearts 3D or Resident Evil Revelations, I can trade a Marvel vs Capcom 3 (Vita) as there is still one left in my store.

no I need some for my ass hole kid
LMAO

No new gaming clearance this week, but I did find a decent set of Godzilla vinyl figures for $7 down from $20. Based on what people have posted in this thread, the original 3DS is on clearance at some stores and not others. Anyone want to hazard a guess as to when the clearance on systems will be a little more consistent?

I went to my local TRU over the weekend and saw a few copies of Star Fox, but they weren't tagged.  I didn't ask anybody to scan them and I just left.  I'm thinking of going back tomorrow.  Is there a good chance of them ringing up with the sale price, despite not having a tag?  That was the impression I got from reading the thread, but it does say "YMMV," so does that mean that it probably won't have the sale price at my particular location if it doesn't have a tag?

Found both The Wonderful 101 and Starfox 3D for $12.84 each after taxes  :D/

It's kind of tough to tell how many are left at my store. For whatever reason, we're stuck in 1999 and in order to buy a game, you take the paper slip up to the counter and they get it from the lockup room. The wasn't a paper slip for W101 but I asked them to check and this dude I knew in high school found one for me. I also might have gotten the last Star Fox 3D since it was the last paper slip, but you never know. My store does seem to have a bunch of Kid Icarus's left based on the paper slips, but I already have it. Clifton Park NY store for anyone curious.

There's only been a couple items that have been YMMV and those were almost all mistakes in tagging on the part of the store. Star Fox should come up 60% off no problem. All the games have been national aside from the aforementioned mistakes.

That's what I thought. Thanks for the info.

None of the 3DS games at my store except 1 copy of Kid Icarus were tagged, they all ring up the sale price, but it might be on the register and not with just a hand scanner. They all ring up the full price but it takes a few seconds for the system to adjust it down. I made that mistake with Star Fox first, had them scan it and they said $29.99. Went back the next day after realizing all this and thankfully the copy was still there.

Wow...the paper slip system. Awesome.

Nope was sold everywhere. I got it from BBY or maybe Amazon back when it came out. Finding it new and on clearance isn't a bad thing though.
He's probably talking about after the game was no longer available at other major retailers, except TRU since they had access to reprinted copies. That's when I got my copy of Yoshi Island and Super Princess Peach as well.

So, I picked up a copy of Star Fox.  It was on green clearance even though there was no tag.  Man, I wish I was able to find Kid Icarus at my local store.

Another game I saw that's not on the list is the 360 version of Sleeping Dogs.  They had a whole bunch of them with green tags and a price of about $15.  So, I'm assuming that it would be $6.  I already have it digitally on my Xbox and I don't want to waste money, so I didn't get one.  But it was really tempting to pick one up at that price just to have a physical copy.

I also got Remember Me (360) for $8.00 + tax. It didn't have a tag on it, I had to ask. Same with Fuse (360), it was not Green tagged; same with Street Fighter X Tekken (360).

Are baby wipes on clerance.
LOL can't tell if you're a troll but this is like the fourth thread i've seen you in saying questionable things. Avatar doesn't help your case.

For those that are sincerely interested, Babys R Us does clearance out diapers etc. I've picked up things before so it may be worth looking into while you're there.

I just went by my TRU and when they did a price check on Ducktales Remastered it came up as $19.99. Does the discount not show up unless it's actually bring rung out or was I misinformed about it being on clearance but not tagged?

You were misinformed I believe. Only think one person reported it and multiple said it rang up full.

I'm the one who reported finding it on clearance, but after checking my receipt again, it rang up as full price ($20). I'm pretty sure there's a green tag on it, I'll check when I get home.

Either way, back to the store I go :|

Adding one more confirmation for Star Fox 64 3D being on clearance. The TRU I bought mine at had it sans sticker at full price, but it rang up at 60% off.

Ridgedale location next to the Mazda dealership for MN CAGs. There were 2-4 left as of 2pm today.

My store had around 10 copies of Star Fox left over. If anyone needs one I can pick up for cost plus shipping, just shoot me a PM.

Also, does anyone know if TRU is restocking these games? If so, I guess I could wait and see what gets refilled.
It really just depends on what is left at the warehouse at this point - my manager informed me that the TRU I work at got in another copy of Yoshi's Island DS today, despite it being on clearance. I wouldn't bet on anything reappearing for sure though.

Not usually one to quote my own posts, but here it is:

Been using this clearance cycle to build up my Wii U Collection but wow these stores are all over with prices... saw Blacklist marked $39.99 and $49.99 at stores and prices were adjusted to what the sticker price was....  thought at least the MSRP on these games would be nationwide....

I'm assuming that Ducktales is the non-Super Buy Copy that's the one on clearance.
Well, there's no Super Buy sticker on the one I have, so that's not necessarily true. Mine is a disc version, and while it does have the green tag clearance sticker, it did not ring up as part of the clearance promotion.
