YMMV ToysRUS "Green" Clearance is up to 70% off!

I picked up Sin and Punishment for the Wii ($5) and Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition ($12).
The had a variety of other games, I picked these up in Leominster MA.

The worker said the prices will steadily decrease, but he is not sure when the next drop will be.

They had an assortment of other games on ALL consoles.
Some hidden gems.

Just look for the games with a Lime Green tag on them. They all say "Was $##.##" but don't give the real price until you check them either at a register or kiosk.

Was over there on Friday and most was crap...may head back today quick though see if any markdowns I missed or new...
So does anybody have a list of stuff that is known to be un-marked? I've seen a few things mentioned which definitely weren't stickered at my store...
the OP has a nice list of stuff.

Found a few more games at another Toys R Us today.

Anyone in the Minneapolis area looking for Wonderful 101 the Minnetonka store had about 9 left. They weren't marked before so probably a big part of why they were still there but they are marked now.  Had a fair amount of games left in general (a few by the front door but plenty in the back electronics area).

yeah I haven't seem on plus yet either.

I went back to a couple of toys r us got these

3ds
Professor layton the diabolical box ( this will be my first layton game )
Kid icarus uprising

ps3
zone of the enders
dead space 3

ps vita
lumines electronic symphony

and from last time
wii u and wii
The Wonderful 101
Samurai Warriors 3

Both of the toys r us stores I went to didn't have resident evil revelations or fuse on sale. I even had them scan to check. ( ps3 for both )
If your interested I have a copy of Revelations for the Wii U

He may be like me, there are some games I'd rather have the actual disk for if I can get them cheap - that's why I grabbed that $6 Space Marines. I didn't see a PS3 RE6 at my store, but if I had I probably would have grabbed it.
He said he passed on those games because he had them on PS+ so was making sure he knew that the J&D trilogy wasn't PS+ in case he wanted it.

Crap! And I just got Wonderful 101 for $19 shipped, thinking I got an amazing deal. Still in the return window so I'll have to check out TRU for a copy.

Honestly that game is worth it at 60, its a shame it didnt get more love. Believe me, 19 is an amazing deal.

Cool. On second thought I'll let BB keep the money. Not worth the trek just to save $5 or so. So excited to play it, though I'm skeptical about the reported-on inconsistent control scheme.

Thanks for the heads up, maybe I was thinking Sly Cooper? IDK.

Actually the main reason I passed on J&D HD was because I still have my PS2 copies, and didn't care enough for the series to double-dip. $8 seemed like an excellent price for CAGs that did like it, though.

I can also confirm WH40K Space Marine for $6 (after discount). My local store didnt have any W101, not even a shelf tag. Might try a different store, despite not owning a Wii-U that's on the short list of game's I'd want for it. Although I hope it doesnt turn into another Madworld, and despite it's pedigree maintains rock-bottom pricing for years to come.

My store still has a lot of games...things don't seem to be moving much...although all copies of Kid Icarus 3DS are gone.

I ended up grabbing a fujifilm finepix camera for $20.  It's almost comically tiny and magenta, but it's a pretty full-featured name brand 14 megapixel camera for $20...so hey...

Are these the final price and is this nationwide? Going to try my local store but doubt anything good is left.
Not sure what you mean by final price, but it is nationwide. And depending on your location you may still find alot. Stores in my area seem to be pretty much untouched (minus what I got)! :p

I meant what Target does. One store would have 30% off one week but the next store is 50% off.

But it's nationwide so that's a plus. Going to my local store and hoping to get something. Any coupons worth trying?

FYI: I found a couple of different prices than the OP's list at the TRU I went to:

PS3

Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel (not Overkill Edition, for $8, regular $19.99)
Crysis 3: Hunter Edition($8, regular $19.99)

He listed the price at the time. The percentage had dropped since then. Might be better to list the tagged price with color of the tag. Let everyone figure out the price by percentage off.

Basic math? On the internet? May as well give them a flaming hornet's nest.

They were green tagged (no change in the discount) but I was pointing out the original regular price on those two particular games is lower than the OP. Army of One is listed in OP at $24.99 (based on the discounted price but my store had it for $19.99) and Crysis 3 is listed at $29.99 but my store had it $19.99. Just in case someone sees those games and passes, it might change their minds at $8 each.

Question:  So  I'm seeing mixed posts about this topic.

Are Green tags 60 or 70 percent off now?  There was a post a few days ago saying they dropped to 70% off but it seems like everyone is saying its  only 60 percent off now.

Thanks

60%. I only remember one guy just saying it out of the blue and no one else reporting anything similar so far.

only 60% some people were saying they think it might drop since it dropped last week but it didn't. It is the same 60% it been already

So just a short review on that Level Up Gaming Tower in case anyone else has been on the fence about it.  I got mine for $7 after a rewards coupon but I'd probably pay $12 for it.

Pros:

- Easy enough to put together

- Holds Wii U/360/DVD size games perfectly

Cons:

- Doesn't hold PS3 games well, the slits are too far apart

- Cheaply made, definitely not anywhere near worth the original price.

- Not as tall as other gaming towers (the ones that hold the guitars)

Went to TRU and all the games I want (Star Fox 64, Skyrim Legendary, MGS HD Collection, etc) weren't on sale or even in the store. The other games that were on clearance were crap prices like ZombiU and CoD: Ghost WiiU. Waste of time.

Anyone who's waiting on receipts to get price adjusted don't wait too long.  I finally got around to it today and they told me they would only do it within 14 days so my first receipts they wouldn't do.  Shame because it was quite a bit of money with current prices.

Return / re-buy, or is their return policy for video games also 14 days?
I can't find anything on their site or on the receipt that says that, everything says 90 days.

You sure they weren't just being poopoo heads?
I agree, I only see this info:

http://www.toysrus.com/helpdesk/index.jsp?display=returns&index=4&subdisplay=returns#store
http://www.toysrus.com/helpdesk/index.jsp?display=returns&subdisplay=returns#exceptions

Nothing says 14 days, and video game software doesn't appear to be in the exceptions list.

Are you saying the ones you wanted were all out of stock or they just weren't marked? Because they will still ring up as the clearance price if they aren't stickered. That's how I've been able to grab a bunch of games from this clearance, the stores around here have just been really lazy marking things.

Zeldafanatic15 Just to let you know not all TRU stores are doing the 50/60% off on Green Tag Items.

Fontana's TRU off the 10 freeway is still at 20% off on green tag items. I had PS3 Jax & Daxter HD and Remember Me scanned, it showed up $16 each.

Seriously? Wow, I thought everything was nationwide. Sorry about that.

Hm, I thought they were the same thing. Some more googling and others also reported 14 days, so I guess that's the correct time-frame.
I posted this earlier in the thread.

It honestly depends on your store. Policy on price adjustments are on sale items, not clearance and can be done up to 14 days after purchase. Some stores don't care and will adjust it as long as your receipt scans in the system. Try with an employee you're more friendlier with to get better results.
Remember, a store does not have to do this on clearance items. If you get denied, try again with someone else at a different time. Best times to get different employees in the same day are right after they open and right before they close.

Entice them by telling them you will fill out the survey on the receipt and give them good scores. Mention the employees by name on these surveys so they remember you the next time you come in. People that fill out these surveys for me will get special treatment/favors I wouldn't give to others.

Return policy for all electronics items is 30 days.

The guy who matched the price for me after the drop to 60% acted like he was doing ME a favor by doing so, even though it had been two freaking days since I bought the items... idiots

That's weird. It should be nationwide as far as I can tell. There's a page on the official Toys R Us site that I posted yesterday (I got the link from a Toys R Us promo e-mail) that has the updated percentage amounts for the in store clearance.

http://www.toysrus.com/shop/index.jsp?categoryId=33322336

Saw a couple apple care things for iPod nanos brown tagged at $20

Also saw two different rocksmith ps3 boxes green tagged, one at $30 and one at $60

Both. MGS HD, Star Fox 64, KH3DS wasn't in the store and Professor Layton and Skyrim weren't marked down. We had the girl scan the games and both were $40.

Was the $30 one the old version without bass? I know I saw the guitar and bass version tagged at $60 at my store.

Haha, same thing happened to me (for different games, though). Three different Toys R USs. All a bust. I hate you all.

Scanned with the hand scanner or register? Only the register will show the clearance discount.

Picked up a few more things today, all green stickered/base prices:

360 FIFA 12 $29.99 (PS3 version was $19.99)
360 FIFA Street $19.99
360 Red Faction: Armageddon $9.98
360 Sleeping Dogs $14.98
DS Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 $24.98

Total was $42ish after tax...not bad.

It was with a scanner. Well guess I'm going to call tomorrow morning and ask what it is. Was really pissed that those games weren't marked down.
I can guarantee the clearnace price shows up only at the register. I asked an employee for a Star Fox price check at the register and he told me it was $29.99 until I asked if he was sure because I saw it come up as $12 on the little credit card machine where it shows the price and he double checked and corrected himself saying that it indeed was on clearance for $12. Hand scanners used by the employees will only show the regular price and will not reflect the clearance price so if you call them you should ask them to please scan it at the register and to make sure to double check the price for you.

Scanning an item at the register just for a price check will still show the regular price. An employee has to hit an additonal button to show the sale price on their screen. Employees don't look at the pin pad so they will just see the regular price. Same with the hand held scanners. Hitting an additional button will show if the item is on "color" clearance or not, but will not show the final price.

Update on this: as of 10:30am today, there were 3-5 left, still unstickered. All of the Starfox 64 3D were gone though; glad I got mine last week.
