YMMV ToysRUS "Green" Clearance is up to 70% off!

I picked up Sin and Punishment for the Wii ($5) and Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition ($12).
The had a variety of other games, I picked these up in Leominster MA.

The worker said the prices will steadily decrease, but he is not sure when the next drop will be.

They had an assortment of other games on ALL consoles.
Some hidden gems.

Just look for the games with a Lime Green tag on them. They all say "Was $##.##" but don't give the real price until you check them either at a register or kiosk.

Also as a heads up for people still looking for games, today at Toysrus I noticed not only clearance games converted to pre-owned, but some of the non-converted ones had new white stickers placed on top of their colored ones, still rang up as clearance too.

I know its been asked a million times, but you just bring the receipts to the counter, and they can return/rebuy for the 95%?

Yes, I'm going to do it again later after work.

Don't tell me that some stores are still 90 and others 95....

That link for the clearance on the website is utterly buried; tried to find it from the homepage and couldn't. Must still need to drink my morning coffee.

The link is definitely showing all colors at 95%. Sounds like some stores were lazy last night and didn't change the percentages.

Yes. It's REALLY that simple... worse case they say no and you leave.

@ Anyone thinking of going out...

Keep in mind that you can almost assume every store is picked clean. Even the store I went to last Friday that had 40+ Assassin's Creed IV was out.

I just want to know where all of these mythical TRU are that haven't been cleaned out for weeks.  Mine hasn't had anything worthwhile since Green was in the 50-60 range.  It's been very disappointing.

Take the stuff with you, if you don't you will most likely piss off the CS staff and they will refuse because they can. On a similar note I was denied again last night but this time at the Huntington Beach store.

Successfully got my refunds. Signs still read 90% off but the computer was doing 95%. And the person messed up and took like 90% off of the already discounted price so I ended up paying roughly $10 for 10 games

Edit: Also didnt need to have the games with me and some receipts were over the 7 days

I couldn't find a thing at my local store.  There was a little bin at the front door with 3 copies of the Jonas Brothers game and not a colored tag to be found anywhere else in the video games or action figures.

Has anyone had any luck in Northern New Jersey? I'd really like to grab some wii u stuff.
I remember a few weeks ago that the Wii U accessories were that cheap brand DreamGear or something like that. The games on the other hand...

I missed out on a lot of stuff but I'm pretty happy with what I got. Ace Combat Assault Horizon on the 360 is only worth about $3 or less anyway.

I may have to go check now that a lot of people are still finding stuff it seems...just mine was basically crap from the start.  Wouldn't mind CoD or something for cheap but honestly just feels like a waste of time playing something like that on my Wii U when I could be getting achievements on my 360 and playing online with an actual community.

Well I'm at my final run forever of this clearance blast. got my 95% price adjustments and found some ps2 classics hidden. Guitar Hero 1+2 and hot Shots golf, both sealed. And the sleeper cell 3ds hit, Imagine babyz!! lol

So, pretty much all PS3 games save for a few were taken off of clearance at some point.  This somewhat ruined my plan, and Zombie Us sold out way earlier than I expected which I was gonna use to get the 250 I need for Star Fox 64.  Shazbot.

Oh well, was a pretty successful clearance for me overall.

Visited La Cienega TRU yesterday and scanned a bunch of games to double check; picked up probably my last game for this sale, :ds: Transformers Prime The Game for $2.

I got my return/rebuy really easy. The cashier said she does it all the time, didnt even need the items! Picked up Guitar Hero for $0.50 and left the last copy of Sniper Elite V2 for Wii U for someone else since I got one last week. That was the last game in the store on clearance!

That's funny, my clerk said last week that they needed the items. Whatever. Glad your manager was better.

Nice, got 9 receipts adjusted, going back more than 30 days. The girl was delightful, so thats two days in a row the Cerritos store has shined. I also picked clean the video game section. Minute to Win It is a nice 4$ BB profit.

Stopped by my local TRU today. Haven't been since the highest clearance value was like 75-80%, but now it was 95%. The video game clearances were pretty much gone. I did pick up 3DS Skylanders Spyro's Adventure Pack for $3 (last one) and 3DS Skylanders Giants Portal Owners Pack for $2.50 (over ten still available). I don't know anything about Skylanders, but figured for this cheap it was worth a look.

That's when most people got the most desireable games. I got wonderful 101 at 50%, starfox 64 3d and projectXzone limited edition for 60%. I also saw kid icarus uprising when it was at 50% but didn't get it because i read it had horrible controls and was waiting for it to drop further. Now i'm kicking myself for not getting it.

Made my final run today.

I travel a lot for work, and on any given day I drive by any one of six TRU stores.  I have been in four since last Friday, and pretty much....aside from the most basic of Wii and DS titles, everything is gone!  (One has me on a call list incase any Wii U games gets returned.)  Haven't seen a single X360, PS3 or Wii U game except for Wii U Madden '13 since Sunday afternoon.  Granted...I wasn't digging at this point...have just been asking at the CS counter if anything was returned on the given day I was in the store.  (A few reported a number of returns because GS was turning down trade-ins...people just taking advantage of the flip opportunities without knowing the games could not be traded in sealed.)

Anyway, had ~ 14 slips price matched today.  Five of them had already been adjusted once last week at the 90% drop.  A few went back as far a late June / first week of July.  The store couldn't have been nicer (may have been because I told the young man behind the counter I would give him a positive review on the survey and mention him by name...that is a bonus for the TRU employees.........at least if it is a positive review!)  A bit time consuming for that amount of adjustments...45 minutes or so, but almost $200 back!  A very nice day!

In the end...here is what I missed out on over the last 4-5 Months:

Zombi U  (never saw a single copy locally.  Have wanted to play it for a while, but it was never at a price I have felt good about)

Star Fox 3DS (waited to long for additional money off and they eventually dried up)

Resident Evil: Revelations PS3 -OR- Wii U (somewhat the same as SF3DS, waited too long.  Still looking forward to playing it!)

iCade iPad Arcade cabinet thing (can't remember what it was called, but figured my kid would get a kick out of it. Had one lined up, didn't make it at 90% by the time of day the store was holding it for me, and was sold before I got there.)

Very productive clearance sale.  I have some of the late-game titles available for trade if anyone has one of the games I just mentioned available. (Not trying to rip someone off on SF, but the other games may be easier to find in a trade.)  If you have one of these games, PM me, and I will send you a list of what I have.

Overall shoutout to CAG and All of You!   ......Thank you to everyone who kept this thread updated with relevant information (titles not marked, days price drops were happening, information about price matching / adjusting, and just overall local hints and tips!)  Very helpful, and again, thank you all!

Am I the only one that found stores at 90% off?
The store I stopped in at for my adjustments was tagged throughout at 90% off. All items were actually 95% off. The updated was loaded into their systems overnight, and was ringing up correctly at the start of business today.

I was under the impression (as were a lot of others both on here, and even in at least one of the stores I stopped in this week,) that the 95% was suppose to drop tomorrow. I can't say that for certain, but it was most likely, originally, labor hours were assigned and tasked for stores to change signage tomorrow before opening, and when internally they moved up the drop to today, not every store was on the same page. Again...certainly can't say that is 100% accurate, but being in retail, and based on in-store conversations, this makes the most sense.

there hasnt been anything in my stores in forever so i just went thru and loaded a cart of clearance toys to donate to the local thrift shops.. spent $21 saved $382
