This is going to sound retarded, but how badly can one's credit history/score be harmed by not taking a movie back?
My little sister was here for a few weeks and rented a movie on my account without telling me. This was back in December. She's since gone back to Egypt. Today I got a letter saying that I have a movie out in my name, along with really scary remarks like (and I'm quoting):
Your account information has been reported to a National Database. This information is accessed by hundreds of retailers before providing rental privileges and check writing privileges.
Now, I've talked to my sister's boyfriend, who confirmed they rented the movie and that it's probably sitting around in my parents' house, so I get to go find that tomorrow and then go turn it in. I don't use the account for anything, so I don't care about renting a movie from there again, but I'm paranoid about how much it may/may not bite me in the ass later.
So if anyone has any information, I'd appreciate it. My gut tells me if I turn the movie in and close the account that I'll be cleared up, but I wanted to see if anyone else might know.
While I'm asking questions (and this one should be easier) - if I have a Windows XP Pro install disc (not just the upgrade, but the full install), can I use that to upgrade XP Home to Pro? Or do I have to install Pro over Home?
Edit: Reno 911 does suck, but so does Scrubs and everyone loves that too.
