I know the stuff I have isn't as good as some people's set ups. I'm still in school, and I'm about to go back to full time studies and only working part time. I spent some time working because I felt like I was "behind" on all the things I needed to feel comfortable at home. I got my PS3, my new computer built, my new computer monitor, my surround sound, and finally my HDTV.
Now I feel like, "Okay, I think I'm done", and I'm cutting my hours down to 10-15 so I can go back to school full time.
The weird thing is, I'm not at all going to be pressed for cash, because I qualify for financial aid and government waivers, so I can buy games, accessories and all that.
But as far as my equipment goes, I feel done. The only thing I might do is pick up a 360 or Wii again down the road for some of the exclusives.
Has anyone else had this happen? Where they feel like their set up is okay for a long time and they don't need to upgrade for a while? Or are some of you guys tech-philes, and you always feel like you need that one better piece of equipment? A better receiver, a better subwoofer, a nicer TV?
Is it bad for me to be content? Should I want a bigger TV, nicer audio equipment?
