You know you're a CAG if...

CAGiversary!
(finish the sentence)

You know you're a CAG if...
 • you can be in and out of a store in 5 minutes or less, easily checking all the regular clearance shelves during the time you are there.
 • you have a bunch of games just because they were 5 bucks.
 • each of your games has a story: where you got it and how much you paid.
 • the sports games you play are two years old
 • when you go on vacation, you check the local stores for deals since you have already cleaned out all the stores by you.
 • a great day for you includes finding a game that scans WAY below the price that is marked.
 • you find great joy in helping other people find a great deal.

You tell the cashier at CC, that the PS1 games you just price checked for $1.99, is more than what you expected them to ring up for and walk out (I thought they were supposed to be a penny each).

~you get a laugh out of watching clerk's faces when they ring up something that is the price they argued it wasn't for 5 minutes. The "oh wow, you're right" always makes me laugh.

~all your friends hate you because you have a backlog of 100s of games while they can't afford to buy any.

~Store clerks start to recognize you and become suspicious of your ways & cheap-assness

You go to a store and see somthing you want but dont buy it because it could be lower next week or there could be a coupon/deal for it

You beat me to it.

Many of those line fit me perfectly as well, since I take immense joy in showing people that they can get 3-4 games for the price of ONE full priced game.

The TS' list has me down aside from the first one. I still walk through the games to see if anything new has been changed in the "regular" areas too. ;-)

When the employees ask you what's on sale.

When you're walking out of a store with a stack of 15 recently clearanced games that you paid $75 for...at 2:30 in the morning.

When you're in the local Gamestop, and overhear a person asking the clerk if they have a game, and while the clerk's back is turned you mention that the same game they're looking for can be found at store X for price Y.

When you realize you just spent $15 in gas driving a half hour out of your way to save $5 on the price of a game. #-o

When you visit Target, Walmart, Best Buy, and 3 different Gamestop locations... in the same day.

- When you price match things at best buy or c city instead of buying it at the orginal store just because you can get an extra 10% off.

- You dig through the clearance bin at stores like your life depends on it.

I did that looking for that silly 175W moniker until further searching made me realize that most batches in 2008 were already Falcon. Stupid me.

On digging through clearance bins like my life depended on it? Going to TRUS for the typical "YMMV" deals...i was disappointed. What a shitty lunch break :(
You BITCH and MOAN about everything a store does. :bomb:
While it may be redundant after a while, it just makes some of us feel better to 'vent' about our favorite store we love to piss and moan about: Gamestop.

You wonder what kind of new deals and such are being posted on CAG while away from CAG.

And yes... you also debate someone else using the name "IAmTheCheapestGamer" since you feel you are better than the said person using said name. ;)

You go to a store just to browse and laugh at people buying games at $60, and usually crap sports games, when you can go and get it for the cheap somewhere else.

You have games you bought on sale months ago that you havent opened yet (ie, still in plastic), namely endless ocean and prince of persia rival swords

Ah, far too much of this describes me all too well, and I've only been a member for a month or two now. Hell, I still have 13 sealed games to play.

Oh, another one is browsing craigslist for great deals, and finding the monumentally TERRIBLE deals and posting them here and just asking WHAT was he thinking?

You started expanding your cheapass philosophy not only to games, but also to groceries, restaurants, books, electronics, etc.

Maybe even to the extent that your frugality has irritated others at times.

Are you saying I'm not a TRUE cheapass? I've doubted my own cheapassness(is this even a word?) at times, especially when I bought my PS3 and Limited Edition copy of Grand Theft Auto IV at full retail. No wait, I lie on the full retail for the PS3, since I used about $60-80 of credit I got from flipping cheap games to FYE to offset SOME of the cost. But still, $350 was over what I said I wanted to pay for a PS3.

 Either way, I still stand there when I see a game marked $15-30 on clearance and go 'it'll be cheaper next week/month'. Of course, then when I come back and it's been sold, I'm doing a :wall:.
You don't buy what you want because it's $10 too much and you buy what you don't need because it's $10 too cheap.
 soooo true.
You spend more time looking for games on sale/clearance than you do actually playing them.
This one makes me sad because it's true. For some reason I sometimes enjoy looking at deals more than playing the games I already own. This also applied to me back in 2001 when I first got my DVD player. Still have a lot of movies that have not been opened.

I need help.

when you see someone with a cart of games and all you can think of is that jpg posted on here of the guy huge red guy standing over the person on the computer's shoulder telling him to shut and keep it secret or whatever...and thats the reason you hate newbie's

I think after reading his requests for finding a cheap tv, I do believe "IAmTheCheapestGamer" truly IS the cheapest gamer...

wait...what?

When you have random pieces of scrap paper all around your desk with random equations; trying to figure out how much you paid for a game and how much you can flip it for and how much cash you will need and how much % off you can get. All cross referenced with the same information except different stores and coupons.

It is a pic that one of the member's of CAG use to discourage folks from spreading the word of a good deal onto FatWallet or SlickDeals. You rarely see it but it is funny.

You know you are a CAG when you actually have a spreadsheet on Excel with this exact thing on it which I sadly have to say that once upon a time when I first started flipping games I actually had on my computer.
