You know you're a CAG if...

-seeing a sweet old lady at any given retailer with a printed list with the FW logo on it makes your eyes go red and want to split her skull open with a crowbar
-you know any retailer's POS systems better than their district managers
-you skip lunch breaks in hopes of scoring a hard to find game for $5 where there were probably only 3 sent to the store on release day
-you only shop at Lamestop when you have a feeling that you're somehow taking advantage of them by exploiting a promotion
-You laugh at bad Robocop jokes and somehow use the phrase "Vagina Clown" in verbal communication with others in a social setting
-You have 50+ games that still sit on your shelf that are still factory sealed, you have every intention of playing, but will never play because obtaining it at a cheapass price has diminished your overall interest in the game
-you hear a man-boobs contest on Howard Stern, and instantly think of some fatass named DragonLordFrodo powering down sandwiches
-you get a shitload of free magazines that you never read, and have to check your mail more frequently because of multiple copies of Stuff or Maxim filling up the box

You miss out on a limited print run of a game because you were waiting for it to drop to $5, and now you're left debating paying more than it cost at retail on eBay.

you know youre a CAG if...

- you buy cheap games just to trade them to other cags..
- you buy cheap games so you can trade them to goozex.
- you pricematch penny guides to best buy.
- you drive to yard sales every week during spring/summer just to find games.
- when you still shop at GameStop eventhough you hate the that company so much.
- when you check ebay to see how much your game sells for atm.

you go to the flea market and see someone with a stack of games and start quoting the current Clearance prices at K-Mart and TRU whle poiting to stacks of games.

when you know the prices of the games on the shelves more than the employee.

i was at a kmart looking through the glass case when i noticed that they still had a copy of Siren for the ps2. i know some kmarts pennied it, and i actually found one that was pennied but they gave it to me for a buck. so i said to the guy i bought one for that much so he gave it to me for a dollar.

Wow around here they would probably call security on you for that. I bought a whole bag of clearance games afew months back, and ever since they call security to electronics if the manager sees me enter the store....crazy!!

If you are driving a company car with other employees and stop at a garage sale. (My co-workers now point them out to me)
you know youre a CAG if...

- you buy cheap games so you can trade them to goozex.I don't do Goozex, but I did sign up on there when they had the 'sign up and be entered to win a PS3 contest just for the contest. :whistle2:#
- you pricematch penny guides to best buy.Actually, I did once PM a penny guide(using just a receipt) to Circuit City.
- you drive to yard sales every week during spring/summer just to find games.Never really done the yard sale thing, since I never get up early enough on Saturdays. :whistle2:#
- when you still shop at GameStop eventhough you hate the that company so much. Check, it once was a tie between them and EA for most loathed company for me, but EA beats them by juuuuuust a bit now.
- when you check ebay to see how much your game sells for atm.Check, did this when I was selling my PS2/Xbox lot.
I can't believe how many of these I've done.

You call up GameStop in Hawaii because all your local stores are closed and you need to make sure a TIV hasn't dropped.
You call up GameStop in Hawaii because all your local stores are closed and you need to make sure a TIV hasn't dropped.
did you actually do that?

You don't buy Blizzard games until they are released in the Battlechest edition because you KNOW an expansion is coming.

You get a special thrill from buying an old game, beating it, and then selling it for the same price you bought it for.

You tell yourself you will buy a game once it drops to $20, but then when it does you say you'll buy it when it drops to $10.

You get frustrated when you see somebody buying old video games you were interested in at a yardsale and you feel as if they took your games.
You spend more time looking for games on sale/clearance than you do actually playing them.
thats me right there!! lol

You know where every Walmart/Target/Meijer/GameStop/BestBuy/Circuit City/BlockBuster/GameCrazy/Pawn Shop/Frys/TigerDirect/MicroCenter is within a 50 mile radius.
You know you're a cag if...

You laugh at Kmart/Walmarts/targets,ETC prices! LOL!
It's more like...

You Walk into [Insert store name], laugh at the prices, wonder what sucker pays that much, walk out, and finally ask yourself why the fuck you went in there in the first place. lol

You know you're a CAG if you can't stand buying games for a higher price that people have gotten for cheaper!

You know you're a CAG when you have used a Gamestop coupon more than once in one day!

You know you're CAG when you have seen the image used to convey the message: "Don't post this on SD or FW!" :)

I went to 3 stores on Saturday and each time I kept saying "Maybe I'll get lucky!". Of course, I wasn't. Which brings me to this quote.

Only 50?
When you're in the local Gamestop, and overhear a person asking the clerk if they have a game, and while the clerk's back is turned you mention that the same game they're looking for can be found at store X for price Y.
LOL that's exactly what I was going to say!
You started expanding your cheapass philosophy not only to games, but also to groceries, restaurants, books, electronics, etc.

Maybe even to the extent that your frugality has irritated others at times.
This is me. Not only do I only purchase games at cheapass prices now, but now its spread to clothes, shoes, groceries, and just about anything else you can think of. I take walks for exercise and have recently started picking cans, not only for the 5 cent deposit but its recycling and the bottles have point codes on them which can be redeemed for stuff. Shame to see all those cans and bottles just sitting on the ground wasting away heh! My family is just as frugal as I am so they don't mind at all.

Also, you print extra of the GS coupons and then hand them out to other people in the store who are looking to buy games, its called spreading the love.

That sounds pretty homeless if you ask me :nottalking:
You have such a huge backlog that you feel overwhelmed by, yet you buy more games.
perfect quote. lol

I didn't read through everyone else's but mine is simply:

-Why should I have to pay for something with cash, when I can get it for free with a little time and effort.

-also when you buy something you think ahead to 2 or 3 different moves you can do with the item you purchased. ie. flipping

they might be taken but those are mine. lol

Nothing wrong with that. I applaud you because I stop and pick up the occasional bottle cap myself. :)

how dare she attempt to improve her community and make a little change while she's at it! making good use of something that should have been properly recycled but instead was simply thrown away (or worse -- littered)... absolutely shameful.

good on you, SaraAB. my wife and i also recycle and collect when we can, and i enter all the silly points codes too. doesn't take much time and it's free money, basically. the last time i hit the recycling joint with our cans and plastic, they paid out $85 ($10 of that was a bonus for going over $50).

Yeah, the thing is that if you don't pick them up, no one will and they will just sit there all summer, if I can make a few cents while trying to get out and get some exercise then all for the better. If no one picks up the cans then I have to look at them piling up on the ground every time I want to take a walk. Our community and city is in such a sorry state of cleanliness its ridiculous.

You're a CAG if you have a list of clearance items for the store in hand/in your bag and have the CAG clearance thread pulled up for that store at the same time on your phone to make sure you have the most up to date deals.

you know your're a cag when you sell games on ebay that still have circuit city & kmart price stickers thinking they're more authentic looking that way.

(i see this all the time.. sometimes a day or two after a a recent CC markdown)

or just simply don't know how to get those darn stickers out.

when you clean out your BBV with every Soldier of Fortune, Tony Hawk, Test Drive Unlimited, and Star Trek, just to flip to GS
