So.... have I missed anything today so far? So far it looks like the guy sleeping over at the 16 year old girls house claims that he didn't plow her..... anything else?
that's totally not true. if you contest it on that, they'll try to nail you for being a dick. that comes from a radar gun having a potential standard error of 8mph if it hasn't been calibrated recently but most cops *hate* that defense more than most.
haha. Cant say it isnt right tho ;)
haha. Cant say it isnt right tho ;)
technically, even 1 mph over the limit is speeding. you can get a ticket for it, and it can stick. i know of one such incident. it was the son of one of my highschool teachers. the cop was driving behind him, and he was doing 41 in a 40 and it was a school zone.

That's just an asshole cop powertrip.

at least around here, cops don't fuck around when it comes to school zone. i see someone pulled over at least once a week in the school zone on my way to work.
That's just an asshole cop powertrip.
Thats exactly what it is. Either way though it all comes down to the cops judgement. It is even possible to get pulled over for doing say 59 in a 60. 60 may be the posted speed limit but that is the speed limit for "Ideal driving conditons". If it is really foggy and you are doing 59 in a 60, they reserve the right to pull your ass ova.

Cops rarely fuck around in schools zones too, chicka. My theory is they are just pissed they are stuck at an elementary school all day and want to take it out on somebody .

that, and a lot of schools around here are directly off of major roads. there's been way too many kids hit by people that were speeding. even teenagers at the highschool. they try to run across the street to the pizzeria or McD's during their lunch or study hall, and don't look both ways.

Whatever. Kids today just don't know how to take a hit like they did in the old'en days.

I'm trying to decifer the half of Eraserhead I saw last night... Mayun!

This one's harder than Mulholland Dr.
dammit someone is reading the e-book I need to read for class for tomorrow. I guess I will just have to read it later.
doesn't that defeat the purpose of the e-book?
doesn't that defeat the purpose of the e-book?
Yea it does. Why people have to "check out" an e-book is beyond me.

Where have you been, Sleepkyng? I know you've been around for a few days, now... but where did you vanish to before that?

Eraserhead is fucking nuts man. It was without a doubt the wierdest movie I have ever seen. Watch it all dude, then you really won't know what to think.

While we're on movies, has anyone seen Tristam Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story? I rented it last night but have yet to get to watch it. RT = 90% so I have high hopes.

I love David Lynch's work, and I'm astonished that this is his first feature film, in which he made in college.

Very cool film. I watched up 'til the - uh - "dream sequence"... if that's what it was.

I have a few theories, but I'll wait until I see it all.

If it's anything like Mulholland Dr., I'm searching for a metaphorical key to unlock the domino rally of knowledge.

I think he's in Hell, and everything occurring to him is supposed to be some sort of representation of his sins.

Again, I'm not sure... and that's just one of the theories I have.

the teenagers yea definately. i dunno about the little kids who go running after a ball, etc. they're more your type anyways.

Hey, I think you know better than that what my "type" is.

Thats a low blow.

Stuff about Eraserhead
I didn't know wtf was going on and I still don't. I could probably get a better hold of it if I had any knowledge about Lynch or his films, but that is the only Lynch film I have seen.
Yeah, the teens. Kids should know too, but they get some leeway.

Don't redheads prefer to be called strawberry blonde?

strawberry blonde is an actual haircolor unto itself.

Apparently there is a show on ESPN where people just play like NBA 07 or some shit against each other, and I think thats stupid. I don't see a point in watching someone play video games on cable, just fucking buy NBA and play them online.

Tell that to everyone in South Korea.

My gf finally saw the trailer for 300 last night. Now she wants to see it.

The first thing she noticed, same as I (months ago), was the NIN song used therein. I'm sure it didn't hurt her opinion of the whole thing.

As a side note, do *not* do an images.google.com search for "strawberry blond" or "strawberry blonde" with safe search turned off. teh h0rr0rz. my eyeballs are melting!

Have you seen the PSP game? It was on On the Spot last week and it looks hilariously bad.

I picked up Ratchet and Clank for the PSP today. :D

Yea I don't have any interest in seeing the movie either. Trailer did nothing for me.

A bastardization of a graphic novel, riding the coattails of Sin City's cinematography and adapted for the ADHD "ACTION!!!" fans.

That's what I've gathered from the trailer, anyway. It might just be the trailer, though. Editing has amazing powers. (See the two cuts of Brazil.)

the first half dozen pics that came up were of highly unattractive nekked men with chubby in hand. they all said "i'm a xx year old strawberry blond man"

edit* just tried it again. strawberry blonde comes up as a bunch of dicks.

It looks slightly surreal... but, under the glitz, it seems really self-indulgent. And, for an epic, it sure does feel like it was shot in a large room in front of a damned greenscreen, crippling the epic feel.

Again, I'm drawing these conclusions from the trailer.
