Your 2008 Backlog...thread

I kind of alluded to it in the Wii thread I made a couple of days ago, and I've gathered that there are a bunch of us with a rather sizeable backlog of games that we have. Probably movies, too. So, why don't you list yours?

Two very simple rules:
1) No future games. At the time of your list, each game/movie must be in your possession. And that means no adding games you buy later, or games you don't actually intend on playing.
2) Mark and keep updated the status. For this discussion, anything that you played only the first level or under 30 minutes you can list here as well.

Wow, some of you guys need to either stop buying games for a couple of years or sell off everything you already have.

As for me, I don't own any games that I haven't played. I have Castlevania: Circle of the Moon that I haven't beaten the final boss on and Medal of Honor: Allied Assault that I found for $5. I've installed it and played a few levels and then I tried to sell it on ebay but I couldn't get any bidders. I only play a game or two at a time so I try to only keep 1 or 2 new (to me) games at a time. Not having money for games helps me cut down on a backlog.

Great thread! Was actually wondering about this yesterday!

Hard for me to really classify what I considered "backlog". Some stuff I purchased because it was a good deal (i.e. Mario Galaxy for $37) but haven't touched. Other stuff I work on when I'm not wrapped up in another game (i.e. Forza 2). Handhelds are the exclusive territory of business trips, so they can stay in the backlog for quite a while.

Some of you need to come to terms with the fact that you're collectors, and perhaps you're never going to get around to finishing every game you purchase. Nothing wrong with that at all, I've purchased a decent amount of NES, SNES, and N64 games trying to either rebuild the collection I sold off when I was broke in college or simply due to childhood wish fulfillment. I don't expect to ever finish them, but owning them brings me some small amount of joy.
