Your collection - post a photo - show us what'cha got!
Thanks Tempius. Your collection is insane - love your custom cases and the uniform neatness of it all
Where did you get your shelving units?

If your asking about mine, the two smaller ones from Walmart($20 ea), and the wider ones from Big Lots($40 ea).

Thanks! I was looking for both OrangeArmy and your input. My collection is all over the place in tiny shelfs and I am looking to go up with one bigger/taller shelf.

Everyone's collections look nice.

I guess it has been awhile since I've posted pics, but it hasn't really changed much as of late since I've been saving for a trip at the end of the year, but it's gotten a bit bigger.

Here we go,

Wii
img0923bd.jpg

PS2
img0924cw.jpg

From top to bottom, PSP/GC/GBA/DS/PS1 (I've always had a hard time getting a full pic of this shelf since it's about 8 ft tall)

Blu-rays
img0929y.jpg

PS3/360 on left, Accessories/Handheld Shelf in middle/Anime Blu-rays on right

Game Setup (Currently missing 360, which is being borrowed by my bro-in-law)
Got myself a new set of bookshelves so I finally decided to separate my RPG's, CE's and rarities. Everything marked with a red dot is sealed:

http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/8917/collection6.jpg
(wouldnt let me thumbnail this one)

For people wonder why I have so many sealed games, I usually buy the sealed version, then rent the game or buy another copy on the cheap. Some games, I've bought used, and then found sealed copies via here, goozex, ebay, etc.
Glad I'm not the only one with a lot of sealed games. I do something similar to you though... I'll usually buy a new game if I find it cheap and if it's holding its value, I'll just seek out a complete/used copy to play. How many do you have? I'm afraid to see the final count on my sealed games (I'm working on a spreadsheet to track my collection and keep stats). I'm drooling over your sealed Mass Effect CE and BioShock LE.

And good idea with the red dots, some of my sealed games are mixed in with complete copies so I'll have to try something similar. Ugh... finals week can't be over soon enough. I need to post my collection and then sell off some stuff because I am completely out of room for my collection.

Lordopus99,

Mine are the $69.00 billy cases from Ikea (black). 72"Hx48"W. That, plus the fact they're standing on unfinnished concrete is why the middle one's getting it's lean on. I spent hours trying to 'bend' it and shim it up, but the bookcase won that battle.

Doodmandood,

Thanks man, but some of the setups in this thread make mine look silly. I think I'm the only one so far to post a collection with no Sony stuff in it. Ever since I googled game collecting last year and found a link to CAG, I've been lurking here drooling over all the beautiful collections and wondering how my stuff would look if I pulled it out of the mountain of rubbermaid bins they were in. I'm still getting my ass kicked when it comes to finding amazing deals though and actually being a cheap ass gamer. Plus it's hard to be cheap ass when you have a CIB fetish like I do.
Plus it's hard to be cheap ass when you have a CIB fetish like I do.
Nothing wrong with that. I spend good money on games if and when I have to since I too want everything to be complete. The way I look at it, before CAG, I paid MSRP for my games... after CAG, I've been getting most games for 50% or less than MSRP. I only buy a handful of games at MSRP (the ones I really want) so I use the savings towards getting old games I wanted, but could never afford.

I still plan on getting a complete Earthbound and Panzer Dragoon Saga one of these days... they'll set me back roughly $500 and $300 (respectively) if I bought them today so who knows how much they'll cost in a few years.

For those of you who haven't been on here as long, I'll try to post past pics of my collection.. I've posted pics of my collection annually, dating back to 2006 I think. It's pretty crazy what CAG can do to you.:p

I passed up a CIB Earthbound for $150 CDN a couple years ago at a mom and pop's, and now I'm kicking myself. If I ever do start an SNES collection, It'll be to own that game (as well as Super Metroid, Super Castlevania and SMRPG). I was looking at a $500 dollar one on ebay the other day, and I'm pretty sure I pitched a tent whist contemplating what one of my kidney's would be worth and if I had a rare blood type or not.
For me, the holy grail of my collection would be a mint NTSC CIB Magical Chase for TG16. The last one on ebay sold for $2024.

I'd love to see some recent pics of your stuff, Vinny.

I've reached 300 PS3 titles, so I rearranged my games.

I've got three large orders on the way in and once they're assimilated into the collection, I'll present my wares.

I've often given thought to separating the collector's editions and I'm not sure which way to go about that. What are your thoughts on it? Who does it? What's your logic for it?

You know, before I came to CAG, I never realized what insane amounts of money some unknown games go for. Sure I knew of the common rarities like Chrono Trigger and Suikoden II, but the stuff on TG16, CD-i, and even the NES are unbelievable. But I'm not gonna get into collecting those..:p

it all depends on how bigs they are
i keep some of my on the top of my bookshelf, ie Deathsmiles cause they dont fit with regular ones. but my psp ones are small enough to fit on the shelves with the regular

I only separate ones out that don't logically fit on the shelf such as Assassin's Creed 2/Brotherhood and Batman: AA. I just have their normal green cases on the shelf, and the stupidly large boxes elsewhere.

I think I might go through and rearrange the collection tonight, since most of my collector's editions don't fit on my normal shelf height anyway. My wife thinks I'm a nutball for how often I'm constantly rearranging my collections. I reorganized my DVDs 3 times in one month. I went from straight alphabetical to chronological(that was tough) to genres, which it is now in.

Collection time! I took a few photos (warning: they aren't small) and it's been a while since I have updated so now would be a great time right? Right.

There you have it. It's a collection of my fiancé and myself because we are huge nerds.

Not as big as some but we like it haha.

I would need to take multiple pictures because different things are scathered throughout the house. Also, check out my site, we are giving away $25 Amazon gift cards to collectors!

I think Sony handed these out to certain retailers such as Best Buy. I had a friend who worked at BB that offered me the outer box but unfortunately, it didn't have the booklet inside. Still looks pretty damn snazzy though.

Does the promotional journal include game?
Just the living room really.

That is the game room.
Lucky. My wife is into Playstation-era RPGs and the NES games she had as a kid, and is supportive of my collection, but she'd rather it all stay out of sight.

No it is just a promotional book they gave out to retailers and my buddy snagged one up and gave it to me.

I think it came with a lanyard but I don't have it.

The book is sweet though.

Secret compartment in the back to put something in and plenty of neat art pages.

Well, after a few lowballs here and there :D I decided to put new photos of my collection.

The games are not in alphabetical order yet, but I'm hoping to do that next weekend, also a few games are not include in the photos specially Genesis games and more figures because they take too much space.
Been waiting to see that Edwin, lot of my games in a good home :D
Needs more Wiii & Gamecube though, maybe we can fix that later this month...
Yes :D I think I probably got like 20 - 25 from your lowballs. I have a special place for your SNES collection too :D
And how many will you manage to play before you or your GBA dies? :p
HAHAHA, I've actually played a bunch of these. And not to worry, I've got a few GBA backups...

I'd post my entire collection since I got it on a shelf and everything...
But my camera is shit and I have a few games I'd rather not show to the internet. >_

I think you'll appreciate my GB collection, we have a lot of the same games. Now if I could get off my ass and take some pictures...

I honestly don't see what's so embarrassing about Harvest Moon. It's a pretty damn fun series. Now if you did have Barbie... that's a different story.

I have 60+ boxed GBA games (
gba050411.png
pic here for anyone interested), but man does my GB/GBC boxed collection lack badly. I have Pokemon RBYGSC and a sealed copy of Donkey Kong Land 3 and that's it. When I get satisfied with my GBA games, I'm definitely tackling the worthwhile GB games, even including the stupidly expensive stuff like MGS, RE Gaiden, and if I'm feeling particularly crazy, even Shantae. I at least want all the FF Legends, Dragon Warriors, and a couple of the obscure RPGs like Sword of Hope and Rolan's Curse. All of the Nintendo stuff too, I guess. I love this stuff too much

Harvest Moon is just the most I'm willing to share.
What I DO have isn't anywhere near close to barbie, but it's still pretty sad... =_= Let's just say my parents don't really understand the concept of their son being too old for certain things... And they're horrible gift buyers.

I'm not going to lie, I have this sitting around:

Got it in a lot of Xbox games at a garage sale and, as it turns out, it's one of the rarer games for the system. I don't keep it on display or anything, though :p

Excellent.

I'm almost done with my GBA collection... I'm missing maybe two or three games and pretty much all of the Pokemons and once I get those, I'm quitting. I only have a handful of GB games (about 20) and even fewer GBC games (about 10) but man, they're so hard to find complete copies that aren't in fucked up condition.

I've got a shipment of games from Canada coming in week or two, after that, I'll probably post my stuff.

Thanks Vinny; I definitely appreciate your collection given what I've seen of it. I have a ton of original GB/GBC games, but the vast majority are cart only as I never bought them when they were out and generally available. I got the bulk of them via the Gamestop 75% off clearance a couple of years ago.

Eh. GF has all but about 3 games. All the GC ones, all the Wii ones, all but one DS one, a PSP one (but not the GC remakes). The PS1 one, boxed N64 one, and boxed SNES one... I'm probably missing a few.
