Not really. I have my fair share of mp3s and games, but I just don't buy digital items all that much unless it's really cheap. Even then, I don't think I've spent more than $15, and that was on the complete GTA package on Steam.
I just hate the idea of not really owning something you buy digitally. You're at the mercy of the distributor in case they decide you accessed it too much (like iTunes did to me a long time ago with my first digital purchase) or if they remove it completely due to licensing issues.
i do agree with you but eh internet various downloads from various places crap adds up was what i was aiming at. the irony is downloads that way are far more along the lines of you actually owning it which is just hilarious.
Okay, this is a bit off-topic, but I noticed that our posts in the Wii U thread were deleted... What the hell is up with that? Were we somehow breaking the rules by talking about the game that came with the damn thing?
No, unfortunately. There will eventually be some spreadsheet support, but for now, it all has to be done by filling out a form for each game.
lol yea i was going to mention that but i forgot....i saw that but ironically the email sent to me had your reply lol. i swear ill never understand the logic of mods on forums anywhere.
Until I die, none of my collection is permanently backlogged. I'm sure there will be some games that I'll never get around to, but I have actually made a huge dent in my collection over the years. And I have a lot of games that are just intended for when we have company. You know, party games and trivia games that don't really have an end to them.
I don't necessarily think Nintendo Land is hard, but it's definitely more of a challenge than I expected. Especially compared to Wii Sports, which has almost no challenge whatsoever, aside from the boxing and maybe the golf. The ninja star and Yoshi games are ridiculously easy, but I haven't finished DK Crash Course or the F-Zero game yet. Still haven't even played most of the multiplayer ones.
I'm certainly not going to try to convince you that the games are fun because it's different for everyone. I would prefer to play Assassin's Creed 3 (and I will when it gets here next week), but I rather enjoy having something silly that I can play for 15 minutes here and there. And it was smart of them to include a collection aspect and a fun way to unlock stuff. To me, everything makes this seem like sort of an in-between game for casual players and core players to enjoy together. It's also a great way to draw in people who are used to playing on their phones/tablets but normally wouldn't play on a console. But that's just how I personally see it. There's always something better that comes along, so it eventually won't matter either way.
well anyway i guess ill reply to it here.
yea ive bought games solely for couch mutliplayer before. i dont do it as much anymore i do have those games. yea i dont like the idea of permanently backlogged either but i just dont think there are games ill ever get to not when there are NES games we own that ive never finished. so ive kind of half way permanently backlogged some because of that.
hey some of those bowling challenges were hard. though i did manage to get a strike on that 100 pin bowling challenge somehow. i still cant believe there isnt a better bowling game out than wii sports bowling.
yea i do have games that ill play to wine(ok i seriously dont what version of "wine to use here) down with sometimes i end up playing those games longer because of that especially if it is the only gaming i do that day.
i guess i just dont care enough to draw in non gamers after what ive seen with the wii....that is far too many people own a wii that cant even operate the system or cant even sync controllers. they usually seem to have on person(often not even the owner) that can power up the game and system and the games are usually little more than bounce around or move around with no really thought and effort required. dont get me wrong i'd love for more people to join the hobby but only if they really join it and not just play one game or two on the wii. hell ive had some of these people argue with me that rock band isnt a video game. and ive seen the same thing with kinect and i would get annoyed when i lived with roommates before i got smart and moved into a studio apartment but they annoyed me when they wanted to play kinect or wii and they go and bug me to set it up. and if i didnt help it was painful to watch it would take them an hour or longer.
i also suppose if i was living in my home state where i played with other gamers a lot more i'd get a lot more fun out of nintendo land but as it stands now i dont couch multiplayer near as much as i used to so the game doesnt have that appeal for me anymore.
