Your collection - post a photo - show us what'cha got!

Most people here have backlogs that are bigger than the average person's entire collection. You'll find out what a backlog is after you've been on CAG for a few years. And you need to do some dusting and buy some compressed air cans... for a second there, I thought your GC had a white fan.

I dust once a week because I can't stand dust on my shelves.

Not sure if your replying to me, but that GC isn't actually being used. Somehow it won't read games anymore, so I just use my wii. I dust like crazy, but it just keeps pilling up:cold:and I've found that out, after much berating in a backlog thread I started:drool:

Just a small update:
We finally moved the old couch in here. As you can see I'm adopting the squarehard "closet block" method.

My wife says what she refers to as "the shrine" is getting out of hand. What do you guys think?
IMG_5622_zpsf5898acb.jpg
I really think I'm out of space this time. No more room for consoles and guides
IMG_5617_zps683a38b8.jpg

And these shelves are getting REALLY packed

I keep meaning to clean up the living room where our current gen consoles and TV are, but every time I get it ready to take pics something happens :I

Holly cow, I am envious of your GameCube collection:applause:and I say let the shrine grow!

I collect mainly GC, PS2, and Genesis, but I've focused a lot on getting the Gamecube rarities.

And it's clean! ish... The boxes in the corner are my NES games, and some shipping supplies and stuff that needs to be put up for sale and such. There's just nowhere to put them.

Does anyone have all the colors of the N64 console Funtastic series? Somebody here has to have all the main 6 color variants. Would love to see the photo of these together in the wild. In the last 6 months I have picked up the Green and Ice Blue. Orange is the next one I am after.

Any information on production numbers and if any of them were bundle deals?

It might be something to do with your home's ventilation system then... my room gets much dustier than any other room in the house.

How's that going for you? It seems like ever since GS cleared out their GC games, prices on eBay skyrocketed (instead of dip). I'm glad I have most of the rarities, but I missed out on some stuff.

Yeah, our ventilation SUCKS! We don't even have heat most of the time, and the our cat seems to like to explore the vents alien style:whistle2:#Not really a surprise I suppose that it's so bad, but really annoying anyway

I'm still kicking myself for trading in Double Dash, Paper Mario, Air Ride, Pikmin, Jungle Beat, Party 4&7, and so so many more gems, for pennies at gamestop. Been rebuying them lately at a used media store. You can find games in the "very scratched" that look and play great for $4.50 a piece (Pikmin 2 for five bucks!). Definitely has been rather barren though lately. Would like to know where everyone is finding this stuff:)

The green was originally bundled with Donkey Kong 64 (I got that bundle for xmas as a kid), but I don't think any of the other colors were ever part of a bundle.

I found this video on Youtube:

Why do people so often assume that the funtastic colors were each produced in different quantities? As in "the next most rare one in my collection..."

For all we know they made 200K of each color.

I'm kinda in the same boat. I've got a lot of the basic stuff, all the Zeldas, Pokemons, SSBM, Double Dash, etc, and a few of the really rare titles, like Skies of Arcadia and Pikmin 2 but there are a couple major holes. Right now I'm really after Phantasy Star Online 1&2+ and Cubivore.

I know how you feel. I hate myself for trading in many of my games to Gamestop long ago.

I share the same pain with the Gamecube games. Have sold off and rebought my collection I think three times now. Only have about 15 games this time around and then the prices skyrocketed on ebay. Was hoping to pick up Windwaker and Twilight Princess but they are way over what I want to pay. Glad I rebought Tales of Symphonia for a decent price.

The only reason I have WW again is because I found it in the $5 bin. If I ever find another, I'm gonna try and flip it. Will try and remember to look you up if I do, wouldn't mind selling it cheap to a fellow CAG (WW are pretty easy to find, though I've never seen TP). The ones I really want are Double Dash and Paper Mario, but those go for around 30 on ebay, and that's crazy IMO for a gamecube game. Anyone know if gamestop is doing their 75% off still?

The 75% off is still on im pretty sure but you'd have to find a store that still has stock around.

Here's my initial setup of my new place. It's still a work in progress, so if you have any thoughts, let me know. I also plan on retaking pictures not on a cell phone, but that'll have to wait until I borrow my friend's fancy camera.

My living room is first up which is in dire need of a bigger TV:

The rest of my games are in the office. I need to do a little more organization and switch things around, and namely find a space for all my Collector's Editions and my SNES/N64 games along with their UGCs.

Wowand people say mllection is big lol that boxed Earthbound must have cost a pretty penny, nice:applause:love the setup, wish I had as nice an entertainment center. I say you should work on your original xbox collection, as you seem to have everything else (maybe I them all)

It's probably my favorite game in my collection.

Seriously though, no idea why my girlfriend bought it.

I bought Earthbound off of someone a few years ago for around $200, and then I was able to sell my cartridge only copy for not too far off of that price. My Xbox is definitely one of my lesser favored systems as I pretty much only bought it for Halo 2 when I found out that wasn't coming out on PC. As for the entertainment center, you gotta love Ikea.

Those Sauders look even better sitting next to each than I thought.

Now I wish I had space to lay two of them side by side like that. :*(

Very nice collection. I love seeing collections with 8/16/32 bit era games. Now... get a better camera. I missed the part where you said you're working on getting a better camera.

The one thing I don't get is why you have that desk hiding part of your giant shelf? Is it due to lack of room elsewhere? Seems like you've got a ton of room.

I really wish I had the money to buy Earthbound back in the day. Hopefully, by this time next year, I'll have my student loans and other debt paid off, then I'm just gonna sell of some excess junk buy Earthbound and PD Saga.

I hear that. Having room makes a serious difference in how a collection looks.

Next time I take the better set of pictures I'll be sure to include all my cartridge only SNES/N64 games as well.

Right now we are still in the process of finding places for everything, so I have my desk in the corner to save some room. I have my Genesis collection in the very corner of the shelf, of which is my least favorite system to collect for, so I'm not too heartbroken about it. Hopefully in the future I'll have it moved out though with enough space for one more decent sized shelf.

As I mentioned before, I was extremely fortunate with Earthbound to get that for an extremely good price. ($220 for CIB copy, 1.2k Goozex points for Cartridge only copy which was sold). Panzer Dragoon Saga on the other hand I paid pretty close to market value for. Sega Saturn was pretty much the system that really got me interested in collecting, so when I was looking for a job after school a few years ago, I promised myself I'd splurge a bit and buy it once I found a position. Definitely work towards getting them though, absolutely awesome games.

Haha yea I was more worried everyone call out the unfinished drywall in the background (which got painted today). I bought a 3DS about two weeks ago and it got me so Nintendo giddy I had to dust the Wii off too.

@Tooshort nice collection but three CIB N64's is overkill and ridiculous. Makes me think you're a collector before a gamer. Which you probably are. You probably spend more time shopping for games then playing them lol. A lot of your current gen stuff is still sealed.

Or that tooshorty has a super big backlog of games. As for the CIB N64s, maybe tooshorty managed to pick them up or cheap? I'm sure a lot of people have more than that, especially if you include the Colored 64s.

I'm new to these sauders. The look really nice, so I went searching to buy myself one and I think I found it on Target.com. Is this them?

It's the closest thing I could find.
