I plan on trade in some games with Amazon.com for some credit. If anybody has done it, how was your experience? you can use the gift on anything on Amazon right?

also, if anybody has trade it in textbooks from college, how was that as well?

I've traded games. If you can wait almost two weeks for shipping/processing (depending on how slow it is) to get your credit, it works fine. Just make sure your games fit all of the specifications they ask for to avoid the worst case scenario of them shipping your games back.

When I trade things in, it usually takes five days for them to receive it and a day to process it and place the gift card in my account. I've never had any problems with Amazon trade-ins and highly recommend it. And yes, the gift card can be used on anything that Amazon sells.

I traded in 1 book back in September and it was a great experience. One week to get to New Hampshire from California and I was paid the next day after they received it.

I mostly trade in textbooks. If they reject it for any reason, they send it back to me and I send it right back to them. Inter-judge unreliability ftw.

I trade it in my games and everything, now im just waiting for them to receive. I also trade it in my textbooks as well. Went to the local UPS store, noticed they only had slightly larger boxes for my textbooks since i had 2. There was a big gap left in the box but I decided not to buy anything to fill up the box since it was gonna cost me an extra 13 bucks. It was noticeable but hopefully my boxes get there without any damage done to the items...

I've had a great overall experience with them as well.

Quick question though -- if you submit a trade-in for two games but only send in one.. you'll still receive credit for that particular game without any hassle, right?

Traded about 20 dvds to them and had no issue. Like someone else said you have to meet all the things that they want for them to take it. I sent in the Matrix HD box set I have and they sent it back because the last 2 movies had the same cover. The place that gets the stuff said that it was not the full set. It was the full set all the movies were the correct movie just the covers when I bought the thing were wrong. So they will send back even on that.

Quick question: So it looks like they received my shipment and checked it all in and gave me my credit, except for my Xbox 360 hard drive and transfer cable. Does it take extra time for them to test those before giving credit or am I screwed out of $25 bucks. Anyone with experience on this, please let me know!

EDIT: Nevermind. Just took a little bit longer than my DVD's and the such. Thank you, and I guess this is a free bump to a very good trade in service.

How much longer did it take for them to get it processed?

They have received both of my packages. One being a Books package, and the other package, some games. I have received credit for my books but have yet to receive for my games. It got delivered but on Amazon it says not yet received. Is this how it usually happens? One day has passed so far and I have received credit towards my books.
