I got it.
I dunno what happened... back when I was 14 and a freshman I used to kill at yu-gi-oh on GBA, now I decide to grab one a year after graduation(19) and I totally suck at it!
The AI is definitely much better at abusing exploits with trap cards and imbalances... doesn't help that the element system is gone to keep overpowered monsters from being... well... overpowered.
Seems like their new strategies are to use the most ridiculous set-ups to keep you from doing any attacks, and if they are potentially open for an attack, spam the field with cards that destroy all monsters on the field/all spells on the field, while using an abundance of cards that allow them to special summon something ridiculous every turn.
I had to put it down after I found myself getting schooled by the chicks in the girls' dorm.
