Zelda 2

I don't remember for sure (my age was in the single-digit range when I played The Adventure of Link), but back in the day, I'm pretty sure I beat it.

It was on the Zelda disc and I didn't like it that much. I do know some people who have though.

I beat it for the first time last year when I bought another copy of it. Between my old Zelda II cart erasing my save files and how I couldn't find the last palace to place the crystal in, it's taken me well over 10 years to do it.

...i loathe this great game. Only Zelda i havent beaten besides WW and those CDi games. When i get the $, im buying a Hori controller so i dont kill my hands trying to play it on that damn GBA/Cube d-pad.

I beat it towards the end of the NES life cycle. I think it was my third or fourth rental (non-consecutive). Tough game.

I beat it as a kid. I really hated it at first, but once I got used to the side scrolling it wasn't bad. I remember having a really hard time with the last two temples though.

I've beaten it a dozen times. Not too hard once you get the hang of it. Especially once you get the downward thrust move with your sword. You're able to jump over tough enemies rather easy with this.

The really hard part is getting to the last palace. But again, it just takes practice. It's nowhere as near as hard as say Battletoads.

Yeah, as soon as you figure out how to get to the last palace (using random encounters to your advantage), you get to play through the palace as many times as you need to. Then, after you beat thunderbird, he stays beaten... and Shadow Link has to be the most anticlimatic boss fight I've ever seen. Kneel down in the left corner of the screen and keep swinging... he'll just keep running into your sword. When he does the down thrust you can either try to avoid it, or just take the damage and heal, he'll die VERY quickly and without much thought.

Actually, the hardest part of the final dungeon is finding your way through it without getting stuck in the looping sections

I beat this game when I was a little kid...it took me about 3 months to do it though. Of course, it was because I got the game when school was in session, so I couldn't play it as long as I liked. I didn't think it was that hard, except for the last dungeon was annoying...those looping sections, ick. I think I'm one of the few people on the planet that actually liked that game....
I always thought the downward thrust animation on Link looked perverted.

hmm... I havent even touched my zelda collection yet.... i think i should and give this a try. Heard it was bad so i steered clear from it.
