I just got my gamecube just before this last Christmas. I wanted to get the Zelda Collection so I could replay my old NES favorite. I looked everywhere, but didn't want to buy one from e-bay for $50.
A couple of days ago, I went into a small video rental store. I asked if they had any Gamecube games for sale. The owner pulled out a small stack from behind the counter. Included was the Zelda Collection marked at $13.99!!! I asked if I could unseal it to look at the disc. It had minor scratches but looked OK. And the manual was mint.
I was happy.
She then looked at the box that said "NOT FOR RESALE". She said "Sorry, I can't sell this to you, it says 'Not for Resale' I could get into trouble for selling this."
I was sad.
She said "Here you go" and gave it to me for FREE!
I am very happy and I think that was my best deal I ever found.
Check those small rental stores! You might find what you are looking for!

Wow... thanks for the advice, if you can call it that. This isn't a deal- you just lucked out. This belongs in bragging rights.
 
lol, I think he gets in that he is in the wrong forum, as for the last 4 posts were saying that. You are a lucky lucky man for getting this for free, you could go and sell it for like 40 bucks.

Yeah, my Zelda collection copy cost me $19.99 (along with a free year's subscription to that worthless print rag). Well, at least it came sealed without any scratches. (I won't mention the extra copy I got online for registering games at Nintendo.com.) :D
 
Thats a cool story, something sorta similar happened to me recently.

I went to a local pawn shop to scope out what they had, its been so long since ive been there I figured nothing was of any value. They only had 2 GC games on the shelves but it was Zelda Wind Waker plus OOT and MQ bundled in a complete 2-disc set. It was priced for $12.99 and i didnt hesitiate to buy it, i was happy. :)

NOPE:cry: you cant get it free anymore, i just checked since i'm getting a Gamecube the next time i find one for a nice price and I want this.
