Use the mirror. It should take you back to Light World in the same spot that you were in the Dark World. You can then step back into the shimmering spot to return to the dark world or go through the portal in Hyrule Castle.
It also takes you to the beginning of any dungeon.
I think that is what you do....I haven't played the game in a while.
