Zelda: Skyward Sword Collector's Edition Prima Guide $23.52 - B&N

For members, the codes F8L4E8W, R3K8X7W, or A7H4Y4N will take 20% off. For non-members, the code A8N7K7X will take 15% off.

F7P4K8P also works to knock it down to $17.64 before tax and shipping. This coupon might be member-only as well.

Good stuff Shrike. Wish I had waited about five more minutes.

Thanks for the coupon codes, Shrike! A little bit of clarification though - the A8N7K7X code only allows for 15% off ONE item per transaction. However, if you're planning on buying 2 at once, you will also save $3.99 on shipping, whereas if you just buy one, you will have to pay for shipping. Buying two ends up being a slightly better deal for non-members.

I'm attempting to find a good filler item as I only really want one, anyone have any ideas?

Edit: They have "Into the Wild" on Bluray for $8.24, good enough for me.

Fair enough about the coupons. I'm re-ordering it and returning the one I bought originally when I thought it was only available on GS.com/Gamestop and BN.com/Barnes & Noble.

If you ordered it before 11/14/11, you're limited to the 14-day return period. If you ordered it after 11/14/11, you have until the end of January 2012 to return the item.

Not sure about filler items, as I have a membership and get free express shipping. If you're not a member, you can get a two-month trial membership (auto-renew can be disabled/canceled) and get free express shipping that way.

Does this have any nice posters or anything? I'm about 80% done with the game but this is tempting. I have the Twilight Princess one and it's nice to just look through.

While you cannot get one YET, I see that they are also taking preorders for a reprint of the Skyrim: Collector's Edition Guide Book at $29.99 and will release on December 28th. Another really nice looking guide is the Batman: Arkham City CE Guide at $23.64.

I believe this comes with a collectable cloth map.

Glad I peeked in here, I might want to get that Skyrim guide

I wonder if is guide tells you about the game breaking bug so you can avoid it. I read about it on joystiq. Good thing they have a way to patch games....

Are you talking about a game breaking bug in Zelda? If so, where at?

I read you have to do some abnormal order of events to make it happen.

"If you're currently many hours deep into The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword -- say, around the "Song of the Hero" quest -- you'd better be careful. According to an email from Nintendo sent to Zelda Informer, you may encounter a game-breaking glitch if you complete tasks in a certain order during the "Song of the Hero" quest. If you save after the bug is in effect and don't have an earlier file as a backup, you'll have to start Skyward Sword over.

If you complete the quest's desert leg first and speak to a Goron gentleman not once, but twice, the game locks out completion of the other two portions, halting all progress in the game. That said, it's pretty easy to avoid: just don't talk to the Goron more than once. Done! (Alternatively, do not complete the desert part first.)"

As posted on Joystiq.

I doubt it. Here's info on the glitch and how to avoid it. Read the comments for more clarification. Also, here's the article's spoiler-free tip on how to avoid the glitch:

"Here's a spoiler-free version: When it comes time to assemble the three-piece "thing" to get the ultimate "whoosit," leave the trip to the desert for last."

EDIT: Also, here's info on ordering the book with in-store pickup. My B&N's are all out of stock but with the 15% code above it almost evens out anyway for me (still have to pay tax).

EDIT: After some research I'm going to just skip getting this guide. Reviews state that print-wise it's gorgeous but there are errors with cube locations, vague walkthrough (the game gives you plenty of hints of course but still), and other issues. Check out the review of the guide at GameStop.com and check out the topics on the guide quality at GameFAQs.com.

ABout the glitch, don't bother talking to Golo again after getting the Lanayru song part. I don't know why anyone would hike back to Golo instead of using the skypoint right there & flying away, really that damn simple to avoid yet everyone is treating this like the Soul Calibur 3 corrupted memory card nightmare.

Once again, you get the song, do the boss rush if you feel like it then head back to the sky using the skypoint right in front of the thunder dragon. Crisis averted =\
