I was at the Best Buy in Middletown, NY today and they had a table set up in the front of the store with a bunch of the zenith 5" screens. They had about 5 or more each of the xbox, PS2, and gamecube screens. The table had a sign that said 50% off, Now $49.99 - originally $99.99 (I've seen these screens for over a $100 at Hastings). Anyway, sorry if this is a repost...and YMMV of course.

I got in on this deal at my local BB in SoCal. They had all 3 types of screens. Each type has a special way to mount on the console. I got an xbox version and a Cube version. The cube version was taged 49.99 just like the rest of them but the register rang it up as 99.99. I had to show the guy the displayed price to get the deal. But he was so shocked he picked up one for him self. The Screen seems to be better then the PSone screen I got from TRU for 30 bucks.

AAh, I misunderstood the title. OP or mod, could you change "all systems" to "each system". "All systems" makes it seem like these are universal screens with a way of mounting to any of the systems. I don't even know if there is such a screen, but that is what the title seems to indicate.

on the back of the boxes it says u can buy the other mounting brackets and a mini av to composite L/R audio plug to use with other systems. it says to check the manual, which directs you to www.gamersfactory.com the thing is the website is way out dated and there is no place to purchase anything on the site.

I bought the xbox screen cuz the cube screen is marked at 99.99 still here, i was thinking that it would be connected by composite cable but that is not the case, it comes with an xbox mini av plug that connects the screen to the xbox.

i havent opened everything up since i plan on returning it and waiting for the cube one to drop. And also i dont think this screen is portable, but i could be wrong, i dont wanna take everything out to see if its portable or not or if you have to play it at home since it uses an AC power adapter.

can someone explain how its connected(KingDox maybe)
is the cube screen portable and is the AC adapter for the xbox version for the screen or for the xbox?

i was really hoping it would be portable for the systems so i could use my xbox to watch dvd's someday in the car, but from how everything looks i think that you have to stay home to use the screen. someone correct me

also its 5" and not 5.4"

I edited the title and info to 5" and took out the word "portable" until we get some confirmation otherwise.

From the website:

The Zenith Universal LCD Game Screen comes with the following adapters:
- AC Adapter for PS2, Xbox
- DC (car cigarette lighter) for Gamecube.
If you wish to use the screen in a car with the Xbox or PS2, you will need to purchase an appropriate DC Power inverter to use with the XBox or PS2.

There are two other screens mentioned: Precision and Verge.

These screens aren't the universal ones. Each system has a specific screen for it. If I go back to BB today, I'll have a better look at the boxes to get a better idea.
does it fit the slim PS2 or the larger one?
The box for the ps2 has a sticker on it that says that there is a special mail-in offer included to get a bracket for the slim ps2

WOW! i never see anyone from Middletown, NY on this site. I live 5 min away from that best buy! im going to go check it out, thanks for the heads up.

these are universal if you get the mini av to composite cord, which i'm guessing is the same way you hook up the psone screen, but i'm not sure how the screen is powered, and if the screen is powered with the AC adapter then you would also need some thing to power the xbox or ps2 seperately. So you'll probably be buying a DC adapter for the screen and xbox/ps2.

I want the gamecube version but i also got an intec screen that i know is portable, it'll probably cost another $30 to order the parts straight from the company that is if they even answer your calls or emails, since they cant update their site.

good thing is, these screen wont be sold out for a long time, they seem to have like 5-8 of each screen at every best buy i visited, also learned something, if there is a C on the shelf tag then the item is on clearance,

They can be used on any system like the PSone screens with the right cords. Go find that thread to see how.

The Xbox version has an AC adapter for the screen. The Xbox it's self will need an additonal outlet to power it.

The Cube version is much better. It comes with a Car lighter jack & a Y power cable. The end of the lighter jack is the cube type power cord. The Y power cable has 1 input for cube type power and 2 cube type power outputs.

You can plug the lighter jack or your standard cube power cord into the Y jack. From there you can power the console or the screen or both at the same time.

I'm willing to be the PS2 version works like the xbox version.

I'll post a pic on Sat when I have some free time.

That's what I was guessing. I'm going to have to head back to that best buy and pick up the cube version. Thanks for the added info.

I'm not actually from Middletown. I live south of Houston, TX and I'm here in NY visiting my parents who live In Ellenville (That's also where I grew up). I've been running all over the Hudson Valley doing different things and hitting every BB and TRU along the way. I figure there must not be too many CAGs around here because every time I come to visit, I seem to find tons of stuff that I would expect to be all snatched up. Anyway, if you hit that best buy they still had a few of the $4.99 games and penny guides when I was there the other day.

guess i gotta return the xbox version and wait for the cube version to price drop, sux that its still 99$ here and the others are 50$ makes no fucking sense

if anyone in VEGAS reads this shit, and u been to the one by the galleria or the one by the blvd mall, check if the cube ones have 50% off label or something, the one in summerlin and rainbow are both 99$ and xbox and ps2 ones are 50$

i can confirm the price for the waco, texas bestbuy. they are 49.99 regular 99.99. they had about 5 gamecube and 5 xbox screens but no ps2. i picked up an xbox screen for myself along with a copy of astroboy for free with the $5 off coupon.

Do you guys know if these zenith screens are reliable? I heard these attachable screens can break down really easily in just a few months.

hopefully u got one vidgamejunkie so heres so ?'s
which screen is better the verge or the zenith one? and is the verge one able to play other systems with additional cords? and how is the screen powered?

the verge and zenith are the same screen only tiny differences.
game cube one is down to 49.99 now. the screen kind of sucks though. Weird av input for other devices.
the screen is down from the $100 price now? are u sure, i dont wanna drive to best buy again and have that shit show up as $100 again, or is it down as in with a 50% off tag on it since all the best buys here dont have that sign up.

just the other day i told a bitch to price check the screen for the xbox and GCN and she was like its 100$ and i said no its not i just got one for $50 and shes said was it opened and i said No then shes like i know its $100 and then she price checked it and said well maybe it dropped price, fucking lazy ass bitch, i wonder y ppl are so fucking lazy to help their customers, i work for inventory and when i'm in a store and customers come up to me i still help them out even though i dont even work there

Shelf tag read $49.99, but it rang up $100. Cahser had to call the manager over to adjust the price. Said it was not in the computer yet.
I dropped by Best Buy in Watertown, Ma. GC screen is $50, PS2 and Xbox screen is $25 now.
good deal at $25. the xbox and ps2 version have their own power source, so not really all that portable (ie the car).
