It appears the one with King Kong only also has a remote with it. Not sure if the other bundles include a remote, but my instinct is that the King Kong-only one is old and the other ones are the same thing plus other stuff to try to unload the merchandise.

I was gonna order the cheaper one with just the Bourne movies, but decided to go for $10 more and get basically the same one with Batman Begins and Full Metal Jacket. I also recommend adding Children of Men for $6.99. They have a decent selection of HD DVD movies (compared to Deep Discount, for example), so check it out since they won't add to the shipping cost.

The harry potter bundle is now gone.

A Remote come with every player....near the end of the 360 HD DVD drive product run, they phased out the King Kong movie that was packed in with the player but it still came with the remote
 
what are some of the benefits of getting this hd dvd player when the xbox 360 already plays dvds.... cheap movies.... less wear and tear on the xbox?

PCs can use HD DVD players, making it the cheapest HD experience you can have.
 
Got the Bourne bundle for $48 inc shipping. Plus I got like 10 more movies on Amazon. I have the Toshiba HD-A2 but I rather use this, one device for HD-DVD/Games and one device for BRD/Games instead of three. Plus it frees up an optical audio slot and a HDMI slot on my TV/stereo.

The 360 can play DVDs already, but it can't play HD-DVD and everyone here knows HD-DVD is a no longer supported format, but the video/audio quality is pretty much identical to BRD so you can get a good supply of older HD movies a LOT cheaper then BRD.

Really you do not know?It was the PS3 installed base...Since Sony counted the PS3, as blu-ray players, the HD-DVD format lost the battle in terms of market share, so that was it...and many had said although the blu-ray had much more space, the hd-dvd's menus were superior....not know...But the PS3 won the blu-ray race for Sony, although that same thing put sony where it is now in terms of games on the ps3....

They all do. It's inside the box with the HD-DVD drive.
 
Decent deal, but doesn't even compare to the $12 360 HD-DVD drives that KMart put on clearance. I bought four (4!) for $48. Simply a steal.
