I am proud to announce that on April 13th, 2009, we will be celebrating the one year anniversary of the opening of GameDealDaily.com.

We are very thankful for all of our customers and especially to CAGs, as many of them have supported our website over our first year in existance.

As a thank you to all of our customers, we will be running a sale on LittleBigPlanet for Playstation 3 from March 6th until our year anniversary on April 13th. The game will be available for $19.95, brand new.

This is a PAL version PS3 game. Playstation 3 games are not region-locked. Therefore, you will be able to play the PAL PS3 games perfectly on your American PS3 system. Online play in LittleBigPlanet is also region-free, so you will be able to play online against American players. The only difference is revealed when you want to download content from Playstation Network for the game. To do this with a PAL PS3 game, you will need to create a European PSN account to access the DLC. Anyone can do this, and it is not difficult.

We have this game in-hand, and all orders will begin to ship out on Monday.

This has probably been covered before but here goes anyway. I have a UK account I made to get the Killzone 2 demo. Can I get DLC with that but use it on my regular account? Do user created levels count as DLC? Hopefully this will be a great sale for me to celebrate my birthday!
 
How in the world do you get so many PAL copies of this game? Are they from Thailand or something? Why cant you offer american copies of this game?

I'd prefer seeing him offer these great deals on the PAL versions than so-so deals on the NTSC versions.

The games are from Europe, not Asia, so they're in full English language. I was looking at purchasing American copies of the game, but the price would've been $5-$10 higher. I wanted to create an eye-catching sale.
 
is there any difference in screen ratio? will it visually appear just as an NTSC versioin will on my LCD? i'm totally going to pick this up if this is the case.
 
If your PS3 outputs NTSC and your TV is NTSC you shouldnt have any problems. If you are using HDMI then NTSC and PAL will be interoperable.

I'm not 100% sure on 480p, but I assume your LCD is 720p or better -- which means you should be golden.

A secondary benefit of picking up the PAL version would be getting the version of the cover that our repressive American overlords deemed too racy. :roll:

If this helps. While the game is region free DLC is not

Ordered. I told everyone that LittleBigPlanet would hit the $25 price point in little time (this was back in January).
 
I have a question. I had this game and sold it on ebay a while ago, but may be willing to buy it again now that it is cheap.

Will the North American dowloadable content that I already bought work with the PAL edition or not?

As was pointed out, you will not be able to purchase DLC in the USA from the UK PSN (unless there is a method I don't know about).

So I can't buy DLC through the UK account I created? Demo's work from UK to USA via PSN's store.

I already created a UK account for the KZ2 demo. Can you buy DLC off the Euro PSN store with a US credit card or are there any extra fees associated with doing something like that? I really don't buy DLC but I'd like to have the option available.
 
Yeah, the Pal versions always seem to be a little cheaper. I think they are selling for about that on Ebay, so if this sells out yuou can grab one from there.

Correct. You can still download free DLC by creating the account. The only method for purchasing anything (as far as I know) is to lend your account info to someone you trust in Europe to add funds to your wallet for you.

Thanks for clarifying. I think I'll just wait for the US version to be featured in a DotD/random internet sale for this price.

Is the upc code number the same for pal as on the us version? reason why i ask is the local game exchange store uses the barcode on the back.

let me explain as far as i know for everyone. 1) to downnload dlc from europe or any country you must have a credit card from that region or a points card from said region no other one will work. 2) i belive you can play others levels without a european psn account.
 
Is this going to sell out? I wanted to get in on the deal for free tickets to Watchmen at Best Buy but I only have enough money for one of the two. I know a lot of your other really good deals sold out.

The Contra levels are user made levels created by members of NeoGAF that are accessible by everyone.
 
shit, this is an amazing deal. and i just bought a ps3 and was waiting for this. but its pal and i have a NTSC and people talking about DLC issues? what will my issues be?
