I'm looking for a cheap PC that can run SFIV decently for not a whole lot of coinage. I saw this vid of it running on an HP Mini 311...but I want to actually play the game with backgrounds etc...

Anyway this is what I'm looking at so far:

Dell Zino HD:

I'd add the ATI 4300 card:

ATI Radeon HD 4330 512 MB [Add $75.00]

Not sure about the processors:

AMD Athlon™ 2650e (512K L2, 1.6GHz) [Included in Price]
AMD Athlon™ 2850e (512K, L2, 1.8GHz) [Add $20.00]
AMD Dual Core Athlon™ X2 3250e (1MB L2, 1.5GHz) [Add $45.00]
AMD Dual Core Athlon™ Neo X2 6850e (1MB L2, 1.8GHz) [Add $90.00]

Notebook choice:

I'm trying to learn more about processor specs and benchmarks but even the sites I get directed to I'm not sure how to read the benchmarks. How do I know if any of those AMD chips will match the requirements for SFIV? Or is anyone else has a lower cost solution please point me to it :)

Not if the Zino is your choice in pc. It's really a glorified laptop w/o the screen. Just like it's main competition, the Mac Mini.

I wouldn't use either one of those for gaming. If you want to go cheap, there are plenty of lower priced pc's with 300W psu's that allow you to add a low powered video card that will work for light or mid-level gaming.

Here's an example:

Then add a card like this:

This combo, IMO, is better than the Zino or the laptop.

Well I have a monitor and all that but a laptop may be more convenient...in the long run. I'm looking for something to use at work but that I could take home everyday...hence the mini pc\notebook. It all started when I saw the Alienware m11x but I was kind of wondering if I could get something for less than that...but if the difference in price is not all that much for something that will run it decent I might just spring for the m11x in the long run.

I'm actually kind of waiting for E3 to see if a smaller XBOX 360 will come out that I could transport everyday as that may be much cheaper. The 360 could be hooked up to a computer monitor.

I'm just thinking I might get more use out of a notebook in the long run.

Then look at this. Cheaper than the M11X and more powerful.

[quote name='paz9x']looks like the same price. dell has the mx11 for $659 currently with coupon.[/QUOTE]

Oh, I heven't checked Dell's site in a while. The M11X was $999 the last time I looked. But does the M11X still only have a C2D cpu? The i5 is a much better cpu. But at that price, the M11X is a pretty good deal.
