Make a donation to the American Red Cross via the Playstation store and receive the theme

Wow, that's great. Ill grab one to.
Its really nice to see all the publishers and devs getting on boards with helping Japan.

Don't care for the crappy theme but i donated $2 that it was so easy on PSN. Couldn't say no probably will end up giving my last $2 on my account as well.

The theme's cute! =D Normally I never would pay for a theme because it's stupid, but hey, I love Japan. Take my money. Kinda wish it was dynamic though =(
Can you gameshare it?
Since it appears in the download list, yes you can. However that would be quite low =\

I gave a few bucks, Japan has given me so many great games + things its the least I can do. I also quite like the theme.

I would like to thank Sony for doing this. It's the easiest way for me to donate since I have money on my PSN. Just donated $5 and the theme is cute. Although I didn't need the PSN theme, just knowing it went to Japan is enough for me.

Not to state the obvious - but much (if not most) of the history of great gaming is due in no small part to dozens of creative geniuses and their companies born and fostered in Japan. Every CAG should pony up for this one (or something similar).

Indeed, Gamers Unite. Without Japan, my love for RPGs,etc wouldn't be here today. I happily donated a few min ago and suggest everyone else do the same.

My wife asked me why I wanted to donate to this cause so bad and this is pretty much what I told her! I used all the niche games I have been buying lately as examples. They wouldn't exist without japanese culture.

My whole life was built around Japanese games, anime, and manga, so donating $20 was easy. Hope the situation gets better over there.

The tragedy breaks my heart, I donated without hesitation. Thanks for posting this. I haven't made time to turn on my PS3 lately and might have missed this opportunity to donate.

This is a great cause but know that once the Red Cross reaches it's quota for the Japan Relief Aid...it keeps accepting the donations and uses it for other needs in the world. I'm not saying this isn't a good cause but your $ may not actually go to Japan. If you are o.k. with that, go ahead and donate.

Spent my last 2 dollars in my psn wallet...now I have 1.04 leftover. If only there had been a *insert amount* option, I would've definitely given that too!

The theme is absolutely beautiful, I'm definitely keeping this one on my dashboard for a while

Thanks for posting this. I will definitely log onto PSN today and help out a little bit. My wife will like the theme to boot.

Donating for? Japan, one of the richest countries on the planet?

Meanwhile destitute people live in poverty all over the world and get no fundraiser, sad. I guess it takes a disaster to get people's attention.

Please note, its Red Cross not Japan. While a lot of the cash is going to japan, in the end you're giving to Red Cross which means your money can go to help anyone.
Donated $5. Plus it is not a bad theme.
Me too. Nice way to contribute and the theme is a cool little bonus.

I guess Louisiana should pay back all the money Japan gave them after Katrina. They don't need it, we're a rich country.

Donated what I could ($2). I have like $1.09 remaining at this point. Need to make 91 more $x.99 purchases and it's like getting a free game out of it. :D

Is it safe to put credit card information on PSN?? How is it to remove credit cards? Where to go on my PS3 to put in the credit card information?? I'll donate as soon as I get the answers!

I dont see why not.

When you go to account information, you can see your credit card info. It will display some of the front, and back. But not the code on the back of the card. You can just delete it by clicking a button on the bottom.

Just go account > transation > add funds

Thanx for the info!

Why don't you think of it this way; these donations to Red Cross, which most will go to Japan, will be used to bring many people's lives back to normal after a series of horrible, life-changing disasters. It's sad, but at least poor people around the world are used to that poverty, but nobody can get used to an 8.9 earthquake, a tsunami, and nuclear emergencies.

So at least let's donate for normalcy.

Also, the Nikkei stock exchange has been hit hard due to the disasters.
