Saint's Row Double Pack Limited Edition $19.99 at Amazon
I wonder what makes it limited edition. Anyone know?
good question, I tried a quick google search but couldn't find anything, apparently its coming out in August?
I wonder what makes it limited edition. Anyone know?
It is produced in a limited number?

I hate when people put 's. Saints Row, not Saint's Row .. stupid Amazon..

If you like GTA4, you'll love Saints Row. It's amazing.
I haven't played them, are they worth the money?
They are pretty much GTA clones. Although way more like GTA 3- San Andreas then GTA 4. Just ridiculous. I'd say its worth $20 for them.

I already have both games, but if I didn't, I'd definitely get this.

If anyone hasn't played these, I would recommend them.
i think the "special/limited" is just the fact they are bundled together. making them special and limited.
Not really. I got the double pack several months ago.

EDIT: yep, I got the double pack feb 27th for $19.99.

Too bad the first Saint's Row wasn't released on the PS3- I'd get this set if it was on the PS3. Then again, the first game kinda sucked.

Saint's Row 2 was pretty fun though.

Yeah its pretty much a GTA San Andreas clone with 360 graphics and a lot more customization with the character.

Saints Row 2 co-op is a blast, but requires someone having another xbox and copy of the game, but if you know someone who does it can be sweet.

Yes, they are games with lots of great fun in them.

If you dont take my word for it take his........ http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/312-Saints-Row-2

They are nothing like GTA really. Sure they are sandbox games, dealing with crime and 3rd person but thats basically mainstream gaming now. Its like calling every 3rd person action game a god of war clone when they arent. Or saying duke nukem forever is a wolfenstein 3d clone because they are both first person shooters.

This. I'm actually kind of surprised to see quite a few people saying it's a GTA clone when I honestly can't make that comparison after playing both games extensively. GTA is done for realism and to tell an engaging story. Saints Row is a game you play to have fun doing pretty much whatever you want with no consequences. It's completely unrealistic, but it's glorious.

For people asking if it's worth it, the answer is it 100% is.

still special, still limited.

hmm, I think I would have to know what makes it limited edition besides the fact that it is produced in a limited quantity to justify 19.99 for it
i think it's just a rerelease of the double pack to build some hype for the 3rd
But there already is a double pack. Why release another one? There has to be something included with it.

well yea, i said a re-release. and for obvious reasons. stores will again feature saints row double packs in their sunday ads for the low low price of $19.99. it'll spark interest in people who don't know what saint's row is. people will buy it and enjoy it and then they'll learn that a new one's coming out in october. they'll be all over it.

Yo dawg, these are Cheapy's favorite games of course they are worth it.

Take the opinion of the fedora guy

to all the people questioning if its worth 20 bucks for both games.. HELL YES! This series is WAY better than what GTA has become in my opinion. I actually disliked GTA IV and never beat it. I thought Saints row 1 was pretty fun, and saints row 2 was VERY fun. Its what GTA used to be before it got all gritty and serious and boaring, but amped up a few levels on the wackiness chart

I NEVER buy games at full price when they come out, but im considering pre-ordering saints row 3 for that DLC pack, it looks awesome

Buy this if you havent played it. No quesiton, just buy it! I do wonder if there is any bonus or anything. Maybe it comes with some DLC? I see several people guessing whats so special or limited about this but no one seems to actually know.
Wish there was a cover picture. My boyfriend has been holding out because he hates the greatest hits packaging.
+1 i agree with your boyfriend. GH packaging is lame as hell. I never buy it

I played them back to back. I kinda disliked 1, but thought 2 was pretty good. I'm not too crazy about sandbox games, though.

If GTA is like NFS:Shift, then SR is like Burnout. If GTA is like Madden, then SR is like Blitz. If GTA is like COD, then SR is like Bulletstorm.

Aw hell, just buy them. You really cannot go wrong for a couple of AAA titles in their time - and still a bunch of fun to play. Who doesn't want to drive around on an ATV while on fire trying to get a side mission complete?

I enjoyed playing both of these better than GTA IV, spent about 3X the hours. Had more fun, not as linear and just makes you laugh out loud sometimes. can't wait until #3.
so what makes this different than the double pack that's already out?
Noone seems to know at this point.
But there already is a double pack. Why release another one? There has to be something included with it.
Maybe the Saints Row 2 DLC will be included?
Maybe the Saints Row 2 DLC will be included?
That's what I'm hoping for, but until there's more info on what the pack IS and if it's any different from the old one I'm not buying.

As an owner of DLC for both games, I would have to advise that the DLC is not very memorable....I mean its more stuff and in the second game, a few more missions, yet its the same thing kind of...however: GREAT GAMES!

You should've stoped before you compared it to Bulletstorm. That makes SR2 look bad.

Hey what, I loved Bulletstorm.
...people don't buy games because of cover art...?
cover art/and case build/color, yes. Greatest hits packaging is gay as hell

You couldn't be more wrong.
You couldn't be more wrong.
the first game didn't exactly suck, but i would agree that it had some problems. A lot more quirks that made it just above average in my opinion. The 2nd one fixed most of those though and genuinaly great IMO

So I'm interested in picking this game up for the co-op because me and my friend like messing around in gta IV in free mode but were looking for something new. (was real bummed just cause 2 had no multilayer) So I was hoping somebody could tell me if any of the DLC (i believe there are 3) add anything to co-op like parachutes or new cars? If so that would probably make this pack worth it even though I have no interest in the first saints row. Otherwise I'll prolly just order 2 used copy's of SR 2 today.
