Borderlands 2 Character Vanishes

Hopefully this is the right thread to post my question in.

I noticed yesterday when I put in a shift code that my character was no longer selected. When I tried to change from a new character my old one was no longer showing. When I look at my xbox hard drive I still see my character but its not showing in the game menu. I tried copying the character file to a memory card and its still not showing up. Has anyone else had this issue or have any suggestions?

I love the game but am really disappointed if I just lost all of that work.

it sounds like you have tried it, but just to clarify- at the load screen where your character is standing, at the bottom right of the screen and you have a few options (including "select character") you have been bringing up the character select screen?

Sounds like the BadAss reset bug.

Mine did something similar. Booted up and my character was gone. Save was still on the hard drive but the main menu didn't default to my character. I had to hit "y" to choose my character. Once booted, my BadAss Rank reset and I lost all my Golden Keys.
