Pre-purchase Bioshock Infinite with GMG and received $15 credit(or $14 cash back), XCOM EU, Bioshock, and 1 game of your choice for free. The details is kind of confusing but you automatically get XCOM for free, Bioshock 1 is shown below with 5 different game options. Chose out of those bundles which one you like, pay it, then you will get XCOM EU key March 26th along with Bioshock Infinite, Bioshock 1, and the other free game of your choice (that you chose); oh and the $15 credit.

One of the best pre-order deals I have ever seen.

Disclaimer: I found the thread on Amazon forum and posted it here. Thanks to user JJ Cool.

Looks like the same "get our old shovel ware games for free!" deal.
Any pc owner that pays $60 for this game should have his cag card revoked.
It will be 30 - 35 within a week.
Buy Xcom for $16 on amazon if you want it and save your money for the season pass or something.

It should be noted that the choice of games is between one of five: Spec Ops The Line, Civilization 5, Bioshock 2, Mafia 2, and The Darkness 2. The deal is sick if they're all steam-redeemable though.

They usually are...GMG games

Since you're getting $14 cash back, you're not paying $60. You're getting a 23% discount off the list price plus the extra games. Plus the extra titles that may or may not sweeten the pot depending on your interest and whether you already own them or not.

Also to be fair, I only paid like $36 for Tomb Raider thanks to another promotion they had in terms of pre-order. So you could use the cash back from this one top of that and get a new game later in the year for like $20 if the same situation presents itself(spoiler, it almost always does with that site).

Of all the deals I've seen, this is probably the best out there honestly.

So.......

Buy Bioshock Infinite, Xcom, Bioshock 1 and another free game Day 1 for $46....

or buy Xcom now, and wait a week to hopefully buy Bioshock Infinite for a total of $46-51.

Are you kidding me dude? Stop hating on the deal and use some damn common sense.

I can get Bioshock Infinite for $36 right now.

That is $23 I can spend now, or put towards the season pass.
And I don't need to acquire all of 2K games that I trip over when I go to Big Lots.
Errr....why did you think it would be anything else?
Not all console gamers follow the PC scene. greenmangaming doesn't necessarily scream PCDD to a console gamer. Trust me I used to be one.

Then do that, this is still a pretty darn good deal.

Normally I would've just ignored a post like yours if it was just saying the deal was bad, but jumping on this is hardly a "cag card revoking" move.

Guys, I really think we should wait like Zimmy says... surely the possibility of it being $35 in a week doesn't seem like a big fat load of BS at all!

A week after that they will be giving everyone a copy for free with a $20 credit for a future game.

I apologize if it comes across saying it was not a deal worthy post.
It is.
I'm just amazed at the sudden promotions where they want you to buy the game at retail so they try to sweeten the pot with bargain games.
I would say buying any new PC games at $60 is revok worthy.
How do all those that bought Dead Space 3, Crysis 3, Hitman Absolution, and Tomb Raider for $60 feel today???

Again, for what is out there, this is a good deal. As long as you know price drops are inevitable.

Just make sure to tell all of us what you decided to do.
Did you pre-order this game at $60?

Just want to show for the record.

Let's put our money where our mouth is! ;)

Part of me thinks this is true, being a 2K game.

But Bioshock 1 didn't tank in price like that...did it? (2 did..but 2 wasn't as critically acclaimed)

Actually the GamersGate deal is slightly more amazing if you have the 20% off from the Bethesda Bundle error ... check out the GG thread for details (and proper credit for the deal discoverer) but I ended up getting the following -

Bioshock Infinite
Bioshock
Mafia II
Xcom

$16 worth of Blue Coins (their version of credit)

Total cost - $37

Not too shabby

Here is how I did this:

Pre-Order'ed BioShock Infinite from Green Man:

Got:
BioShock Infinite
BioShock Infinite Season Pass (Used the $15 Credit)
BioShock 1
Mafia 2
X-Com (Which I already had from Green Man's earlier sales) PM if someone wants to buy it for $15 (Once I get the code first)

All for $64. I say that is a pretty good deal.

Zimmy, you also seem to be a bit ill informed on what "shovelware" actually is. Budget titles because they are a little old does not make them shovelware by definition

One can dream right?

Should be technically better than that, assuming you count the BC's as "cash".

Cost for the bundle was 36,805 BC ($36.80) with 15,792 BC ($15.79) refunded back to your account. So a total of $21.01 for Bioshock:Infinite, XCOM: EU, Bioshock and the other free game.

Again though, that assumes you'll be using the extra blue coins and can consider them an actual discount.

Considering this game cost an estimated 200 million to make and market, I doubt it would be dropping fast...unless it blows (saleswise and reviews).

Honestly, I wasn't considering dropping money for this until I played a demo (since I am not good with shooters) but I just might bite and get it.
sales like this make me sad I'm not a PC gamer:cry:
Join the club, its so cheap to build a rig, and you can do a lot of things besides gaming on a good rig.

Like HD porn at 60 fps duh.

But seriously he's right lol. I switched almost all my gaming to pc over the last year. Only playing coop games with console friends on my ps3 and xbox now.

I'm renting, so like... 4 or 5 dollars? I win!

I'd certainly like to hear what you did to get one for $36. That's the pure price, not "...I had a giftcard to use" or "I can flip this credit to cash", correct?

$36 was easy since that was the GamersGate price with the 20% discount some people have. They've since changed it to a credit (blue coins) from a straight discount though.

IGN just confirmed it looks much much better on :pc:. So if you care about this, you might look up their separate PC version review.

Cheapassgamer or not, I'm going to support the awesome people at Irrational and Ken Levine so this will be a day one purchase for me. I want to see more of these types of games made.

The 36 dollars at Gamersgate was clearly an exploit of their system that also relied on pretty extreme circumstances so I can't imagine why anyone is holding that up as a normal reflection of the game's price.

Any "reputable" key site.
I'm pretty sure CDKeysDiscount has it for $35 right now.
Since there is no pre-order game incentive, I'm happy to wait.

If you are "renting" it on the PC, I my do the same until it hits the price I want. ;)
I just got Crysis 3 so I am in no hurry.

Oh, and I am aware I used shovelware incorrectly, it just seems they are "shovelling" their inventory to get everyone to buy, day one at full retail.
It's actually a very good strategy.

In all honesty this deal really comes down to if you want or have any of the other free games. I have Bioshock 1 already so no good for me. Already have most of the other free choices as well. So again no good for me.

The credit is nice but I like the Amazon one better. You get Bioshock Infinite, Xcom: EU, and then $30 for any 2K game on your amazon account for the next year. So to me that is the better deal. I am literally getting both games for $15 a piece. And I don't own either at the moment.

Again it all comes down to what you already own here.

I ordered it and it charged my card but I have received no confirmation email and also can't view my games. I know they disabled that but I would at least like confirmation since it does say on the site that I own that package already even though I haven't received any emails.
any idea when we get the XCOM keys?
For GMG it should be when the game launches. So the 26th. That is the normal anyway. Amazon users got their's already so GMG may give it sooner.

You mean they disabled the ability to see your games?

Edit: Ok yeah they did disable the games/keys temporarily as it was effecting their ability to get out the Bioshock Infinite steam keys. Lame. Well hope I get my key soon then.

Yeah, I can't even get to GMG right now. Are they sending out Infinite keys?

Guy just look around there are tons of Bioshock Infinite keys for $15-20 from AMD Reloaded bundle.
Just check steamtrades lots of people selling AMD Reloaded Keys for dirt cheap.

I learned a long time ago to not buy something unless I was okay with the price, and that once I had made the decision to stop worrying about possible better deals in the future. There is always another price drop. You will wait, skip release, think you have found an amazing deal a couple months later, and then the very next week a new deal beats the one you got. Very rarely I will decide I am excited enough for something to pay full price. If it isn't that important to me, I wait both for a deal, and for a time when I actually will play the thing. Sleeping Dogs for example has had progressively better sales, but I keep passing on them all because I have no time for it.

Great deal. $46 with the the $14 cashback. Plus I was planning to buy XCOM whenever it hit $10, so I sort of see it as getting Bioshock for $36, which is more than a fair price for something I wanted to play Day 1.
