I know there is already one CAG league going, but if that ones already full I'd like to start another one up if people are interested.

Let me know either here or via PM and hopefully we can get 10ish teams together and look to draft towards the end of August.

Yea I just sent out the invites of the people that gave me their emails...I'm still waiting for a few of you to send off your emails to me.

Those of you that are in take a look at the scoring and see if you want to change anything.

I tried to make it at the end of that holiday weekend and late enough where everyone would be home at that time.

We could bump to that Tuesday night, the 3rd?

Sorry to be a pain, but that's the night my other league is drafting, and since we all go out, that won't work for me. 4th is no good, because you wouldn't even have 24 hours to make any changes before the season starts. Weekend before probably isn't good for anyone besides me. Just set it where most people can make it, and if I can hop in for it, great. If not, auto-draft it is.

Drafts are always the worst for me to try and find time for, so I just make due.

And if you're worried I won't be an active owner... I can assure you that won't be an issue.

You have to be active to win, which I intend to do.

How does everyone feel about throwing in something to play for? I don't mean to step on toes Nutts, so if you're not down with that, that's cool. I just love incentives (and gambling... and fantasy football is wife-approved gambling).

It's all good, I'm all for whatever everyone wants to do. I play in a few other money leagues so I wouldn't want to go more than like $5/$10 if everyone can agree to something like that.

Ill leave the draft on the night of the 2nd and see if that works best for everyone, otherwise we can move it around.

It's really up to the guys $5 wouldn't be bad, as long as we are constantly communicating through here then this is going to be a blast!
 
Yea sounds good...just so there is something on it.

I'm waiting for mer71 to send in his email or let me know if he's still in and then we have our 10 guy league ready.

Does everyone want to have a $5 buy in?  I'd take it through Paypal and hold it in my account until the end of the season.

 
The draft is Labor Day Monday, September 2nd at 8pm Central/9pm Eastern. 

I'm still waiting for one person to accept their invite and I'll start sending out league emails.

I'm ok with a $5 buy in and I'll ask everyone once all of us are joined up.

 
Do you still have any openings? Id be interested in the $5 buyin if you have spots.

So a few people have said that rather than paypal'ing me the $5 buy-in and me holding it for the duration of the season, they'd rather use a third party site for fairness of all.

I looked into these and it looks like there is one legit option:  http://www.leaguesafe.com/

Everyone take a look and see what you think or if anyone else can find a better option, I'm open to all suggestions.

 
I'm not a huge fan of the extra fees for having a third party site, but I can understand some people's concerns. LeagueSafe is definitely the best one out there, since all of the other payment sites are taking the money received and then depositing it into a PayPal or bank account anyway, after additional fees, of course. I'll put my vote in for LeagueSafe.

I'm with you..it doesn't matter to me, but I don't want people to be worried that I'm going to run off to Vegas with the bucks :bouncy:

There are still some people out there that haven't said "Yea or Nay" on the $5 buy-in for the league, so if you haven't tossed your say into the conversation, please do.

 
Paypal is fine. As long as you have cash available and don't use a credit or debit card you can send the money free of charge. we do this every year in my other league and it works just fine. I vote paypal, I have had paypal for over a decade and never had a problem.

I also vote for 10 dollar buy in.

Another thing, mnuttster has 46 positive feedback and has 100% feedback rating and has been on this site for 5 years. I played with the guy last year and he is very active in the league we were in.

Agreed paypal is fine. The fees leaguesafe charges seems kind of silly for a service that would be protecting only 60-120 dollars. E-check cashouts were $5! Sick!

 
I think I should clarify my vote. I vote PayPal, but if we decide that we have to use a 3rd party site, Leaguesafe is the best viable option.

In another of my leagues a few years ago, I set up an alternate PayPal account specifically for fantasy football fees, nothing else. That way, you don't accidentally use the balance, or need to transfer it every time you want to make a purchase. Not necessary; just a suggestion.

I'd be ok with creating a separate Paypal account just for the league fees as well...I rarely use my own account except for a few Humble Bundles and trades on CAG, but having a separate one makes sense...I'm good for whatever the majority wants to use

 
What kind of league? PPR, Snake, Auction? And do you still plan on bumping it to 12 or do you see having any more spots?

It's a PPR, Snake draft...right now we are 12, but we have a few stragglers to sign up on their invites, so I can keep you in mind if for some reason one of them drops through.

The buy in is $5 and I'll most likely create a seperate paypal for everyone to send their funds into closer to the draft.

Hold tight and I'll touch base with the stragglers to see if they all are still in or not...
