So in recent NBA news...
The 76ers have hired former Spurs assistant coach Brett Brown as their new head coach.
Michael Beasley was recently pulled over and arrested in AZ for marijuana possession.
T-Wolves recent draft pick, Shabazz Muhammad, is in trouble again after getting sent home from the Rookie Transition program when he was caught with a female in his hotel room after being told no guests were allowed. This comes after the news of him lying about his age and receiving benefits that were deemed against NCAA rules. That same rule violation is why he's going to be suspended for the first 3 games of the NBA season as well.
Oh and even at 50, Michael Jordan can still dunk:

Ahh Shabazz. I remember scouting reports saying he's a #1 pick while he was in high school. Too bad he never got rid of that selfish attitude of his

What surprised me more on that vid was some of those kids just walk past by jordan like he is nobody lol. If I see jordan play even if its against a kid, i'm gonna sit there and watch till he leaves.
https://www.youtube....h?v=dr-OEXL_ZYg Heres Dr. J dunking at 63 y.o. He could probably still dunk once he reach 70.

Yeah this offseason wait is killing me. Good thing NFL season is getting closer.. Matt Schaub pls :( . F that jets player who dived straight to cushings knee last season. Still pissed about it up to now.
And Kobe is not impressed with ESPN writers picking them to be 12th seed. (The list kobe is reacting to)
I think the lakers will make the playoffs (kobe got no time for tanking) and either mavs or nuggets (or both) will miss it.

This right here is a nice signing. He has been sneaking up the big man charts the past couple years. Good on MIN for locking him up. We may be seeing MIN in the playoffs in the near future.
He's a bit overpaid but considering big men have been earning more than they are worth this summer (ie Tiago Splitter 9mil a year) this is a fair amount as he is significantly better than Splitter.
btw thanks for starting the new thread

The T-Wolves success all hangs on Rubio and Love. I can see them potentially sneaking in as a lower seed in the Western Conference playoffs if they can stay healthy and get a chance to gel as a team.
Completely agree that Pekovic is being overpaid. But you're right, a lot of big men have been paid more than they're worth this summer and Pekovic is worth a little more based on his improvements and offensive potential.
And it's no problem. One of us had to stop being lazy and do it lol. I'll just be here impatiently waiting until the season starts.
And here are the Suns new jerseys for next season:
Not a fan of sleeved jerseys, but those are the alternates.

I feel you on that waiting part. Especially since the Mavs had a decent offseason. I know, I know, not as good as your Rockets did but hey, we definitely won't be going 41-41 again. I'm expecting to be back in the postseason with our current team.
And I feel the Suns should've used these instead.

I was surprised to see bledsoe is now a suns. The white jersey is pretty nice. But somebody needs to stop these teams from making jerseys with sleeves on.
^ those jerseys are even better. If they did a fan voting, that might have been picked over their new one.

Hey while I might not like the other two Texas teams in the Southwest division, I definitely respect them. We've all won championships. And Dirk is probably the greatest European player to ever play in the NBA. Period. But Dirk staying health and how well Monta Ellis fits are the two major storylines I see playing out during the season.
Larry Sanders and the Bucks seem to have agreed to a 4-year, $44 million contract extension.
And I want this James Harden flash drive sooooo bad:

Big time money for Larry Sanders...good for him. At first when you see this deal you think the Bucks overpaid him, but in today's market it's more than a fair deal. Milwaukee did the right thing not letting him test free agency next season and I'm sure Sanders didn't have to think about that too long. 11 mil a year? That's DeAndre Jordan money and I'm ok with that. 12.2 points, 11 rebounds & 2.5 blocks over his last 28 games.
His season numbers as a whole did more than match up with DeAndre Jordan as well:
Jordan - 8.8 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 1.4 bpg
Sanders - 9.8 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 2.8 bpg
And to go in a bit deeper, Serge Ibaka is a 4yr/49mil player and has a line of 13.2 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 3.0 bpg.
Bottom line...If you can rebound and block in this league, you can expect a good amount of dollars.

If the Lakers knew that Odom was a fucking crack head I hope they are go through a 1990s Celtics period of sucking.
Is that what he's been supposedly doing? Smoking crack? I read something about him being addicted to "recreational drugs" but I didn't know crack fell into that category lol.
In other NBA news, Tracy McGrady has finally retired. Something he probably should have done a couple seasons ago IMO.
And the Clippers have signed Antawn Jamison to a 1-year, vet minimum deal.

I would have smoked crack too if I knew I married the ugliest kardashasian.
Gonna miss tmac. I remember always using rockets in NBA 2k(or was it live) as Tmac+Yao was beast. If Orlando just found a way to have him and carter play together, that would have been something.
And if rockets got space, I wouldn't mind bringing tmac for a min. Fans would LOVE that shit. All he really needs to do is loose weight. Maybe he can help parsons/harden/lin develop.

Unfortunately it's a trend in the NBA that's spreading and so far they all have the tucked in look.
The Lakers will be rocking sleeved jerseys similar to these for several games next season:
It was also announced that 5 teams have added sleeved jersey alternates for next season, but I'm assuming the Lakers are one of the five (but the Suns aren't included in that 5 though.) And 20 NBA teams will wear sleeved jerseys at least once next season as well.

It would have been great if they just did a sleeved version of the lakers alt black jerseys.

I don't know if it's going to be with/without sleeves, but the Lakers teased on their Instagram account that they'll be wearing another alternate jersey next season that looks extremely similar to the old black one.
