Those deals may amount well over the cost of a GCU sub, but the question is, will that amount be MORE than the amount you'd save via taking advantage of other deals, such as this one, on top of saving the $120. Sure, you might save $9 on this game with a sub, but you can save $4 without. That's the ringer. GCU makes sense if no other deals existed, but there are other deals, many of them half as good, many almost as good, and some better. And such is the case on most deals. So the question is not whether you save, but whether you save more. I reckon it's very possible one could save more money by pocketing that $120, and just shopping smart and taking advantage of the best deals elsewhere...
Smart shoppers are also big picture thinkers
$30 upgrade means $150 is needed to break even so 1 CE game.
$60 upgrade means $300 is needed to break even so doing a b2g1 each yr would be $240 of the $300
And when you break down what a b2g1 is w/GCU $96 for 3 games that`s pretty much BF prices.
If you spend like most of us on CAG even at $120 GCU will pay off for you but the fact that you gotta pay so much upfront is what makes peoples minds overthink it.
