2) "Buy" the following apps. All are free and reward 200 "amazon coins".

3) At this point you should have an Amazon coin balance of 1000 (already a $10 value).

4) Buy San Andreas for 699 coins. This rewards 2000 coins.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

5) At this point you now have 1000 - 699 + 2000 = 2301 points. This is equal to $23.01 on the Amazon android app store.

Seems like it's now something to keep an eye on.  I'm not sure how long the deal last for San Andreas, but the other has happened one other time I know of in the past week.  They did the same for some camera apps only I think it was 100 coins only.  Total with the other apps and GTA got around 2100 then.  I'm thinking this is some sort of promotion to get people to download San Anreas and the 2000 with it I think is till the end of the month or some time next month.

 
Yes it will then ask you to use points or real money. On the website its on the side. Also flex is 99 cents and you get 30 coins for it. Normally it's 4.99 or 3.99 I forgot what.
 
i can't seem to make the app "purchases" with my PC..... don't know why. it just takes me to a screen telling me how to download the Amazon Store on my device.

 
For some reason it says I can't download San Andreas but I still got mine craft and vice city. Thanks op!

You have to associate at least one device with your amazon account before you can purchase apps thru the PC. Install the app store on a device, sign into it and then go back to Amazon's website and it will then let you make purchases.

The offer is still working.  GTA: San Andreas doesn't work on my Galaxy Tab.  But did manage to get Final Fantasy IV, Sonic CD & Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 2 for free with the coins.

 
That San Andreas version is for kindle fire I think. Also, discovered the infuriating BS about trying to move or download apps to the sd card. Can't play any of the games I downloaded
