New ps4 owner (help!)

CAGiversary!
So I just got a new ps4 and have no idea what games are good for it. I am normally a Nintendo kind of guy(Mario,Pokemon, smash, star fox all that usual stuff) so I do not know what would be a good fit. I own a PS3,ps vita, and even a pstv but they mostly gather dust (except for the vita cause persona dancing all night is tons of fun) I would really love to get into the ps4 but any suggestions on what games?(and preferably under 60 cause I just spent a bunch in the system)thanks in advance :)

Until Dawn is pretty good. I'm not usually big into horror games, but it's pretty casual for a horror game since it's just choice-based decision stuff and QTEs rather than stressful inventory management. It's similar to the TellTale adventure games, which I also enjoy.

GTA V is also great, though you might have already played it on PS3. And I highly recommend Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor. Its gameplay is kind of a mix of Assassin's Creed and Batman. I spent way too much time just wandering around having fun killing orcs and not even doing story stuff in that game. The GOTY edition for that is $30 at Best Buy.

I'm also a new PS4 owner and I love this system. I'd recommend Knack, Uncharted Collection, if you are into rpg's go for Final Fantasy X HD or Tales of Zestiria. Tons of good stuff. Oh, and Bastion and Transistor on PSN.

I, too, prefer Nintendo games, but have become a recent PS4 owner (really only to check out the non-Nintendo games, and well, I love the NBA 2K series).  Anyways, it seems a little strange to try to find Nintendo-like games on the PS4 since there is Wii U.  Honestly, if you're a Nintendo gamer, I hope you have or can get a Wii U.  For all the criticisms the system gets, it is home to some of Nintendo's finest games.

As for the PS4, I've heard Witcher 3 is very Zelda-like.  Also, you might like Tomb Raider - Definitive Edition, Brothers, or Shovel Knight - the latter two were recently released on-disc and should be readily available for $15-20.  Even Tomb Raider can be had for less than $20 now.

Bloodborne, Dying Light, Witcher 3, Shadow of Mordor, Wolfenstein (old and new blood versions), Those are all cool games and can be had cheap.

Kings Quest, Grim Fandango (free on plus this month), Rocket Leauge, Valient Hearts. These are digital only but very good.

Yay - a Wii U owner :) There are so few of us. Can't wait for the new Zelda Wii U (don't care for Twilight Princess since I already beat it); Star Fox Zero; and Fire Emblem X SMT. Still bummed Nintendo never published a disc version of Fatal Frame 5 ... oh well.

Not terribly excited about what I'm hearing with the NX. Of course, I'll support it, but I fear that Nintendo may not be making the right moves with that console/handheld, or whatever it is.

I'm a Nintendo and JRPG gamer and bought a PS4 just for Dragon Quest Heroes but am underwhelmed by it. It doesn't have that same feel that the Dynasty Warriors and Hyrule Warriors had. I still play it, but barely. I really liked Heavy Rain on the PS3.

Tomb Raider was really good, and honestly, I HATED Tomb Raider games, but the 2 new ones are great! If you like them, check out the Uncharted series. Little Big Planet is similar to Mario Maker on Wii U (they kinda ripped off Mario Maker). I'd definately check out Shadow of Mordor, Dark Souls and Bloodborne are amazing but they are hardcore games (you WILL die a LOT and you WILL get very angry lol)

Be sure to pick up The Last of Us: Remastered. Its one of my favorite games, if not my favorite game ever, and a lot of people would probably agree with me. There's a Naughty Dog sale happening on march 15th, so I would wait until then to pick it up, as well as The Uncharted Collection.

So you bought a PS4 and didn't know of any games you want for it? Mystery solved on why the PS4 is selling so well - because of bandwagon buyers
