Notice the xbox one when put disc in, have to install? Does ps4 do the same?
Thats the one thing I didnt like from the last gen. The PS3 install and load times. With the 360, just put disc in and play. Wonder why it backwards in this gen over the xbox one and ps4?
I think both consoles still have some install times when you load up a disc - though that depends on the game you're playing. Some games load right up. One thing I do miss from the 360 on the PS4 is the 360's ability to copy and install the game to speed up load times. The PS3 and now the PS4 don't offer that option. It's not a big deal, since I think developers are now installing necessary files on each system to create parity on that front.
If you mean sales-wise it's just cost. When the consoles are SO similar (as they've been the last 2 generations) the winner is always the one that has the lower price at launch. Lower price at launch means a larger install base. Larger install base means more confidence from future consumers. This reaction is nearly impossible to break.
The two consoles are nearly identical (just like they were last gen) just get the one you like better. I prefer the xbox controller so I got the xbox. Most of my friends prefer the playstation layout, so they got the playstation.
Microsoft definitely has a nice console in Xbone; it just hit the wrong notes at launch and it's lost a lot of positive mindshare for those missteps. Some of that loss is unfair, but the damage is already done. While I think MS will close some of the gap, there's no way the Xbone is going to come close to overtaking the PS4's install base this generation, so all 3rd party games are going to be built up on PS4 first and ported to Xbone. As we saw last gen with the 360, that means 3rd party games will always be a little smoother and a little cleaner on PS4.
Like I said, to me, that matters. The exclusives, of course, factor in, too, but usually this too tends to follow the install base leader.
I do like the Xbox controller, and I was worried that PS4's controller would be uncomfortable. Surprisingly, I am pleased with Sony's changes to the controller. Sized up against my PS3 controller, the PS4 one is larger and interestingly more Xbox-like.
The PS4's game releases last year were lackluster, though. Played my 360 far more than I did the PS4. I expect Sony to pick up the steam in 2016.
And back on topic, I've noticed this game and DMC-Def. Edition are hard to find. Capcom probably won't reprint these, so I'm starting to think I should pick up RE-REV2. I never picked up DMC-Def. Ed., but that's because I have that on my 360, and I'm not inclined to think 30 fps to 60 fps is worth the double-dip. Not to mention I heard Capcom made some edits to the Def. ed. that seemed to be based on making it politically correct.
