Puyo Puyo Tetris is back up on Amazon for $39, but oddly enough Nintnedo has it listed as $29 (http://www.nintendo....o-tetris-switch) last time I checked.

eShop version is $10 cheaper.

cost of  upgrades  is it like pokemon world

Yeah, it is similar. There are some introductory specials that cost about $.50 and $.90, which give you gem apples. You need gem apples to unlock new areas, buy equipment, and to buy special upgrades. Gem apples can let your stamina recover faster (the timer which recovers and allows you to play again), and gem apples let you find resources faster.

You definitely hit a grind sometime by level 9 or 10, as you replay missions for resources. Different days of the week have different bonuses. One day you find more light fragments, one day you find more blue or red fragments. Also, you can connect online for free once per day to get some heroes which may be stronger than your level to make clearing quests easier and to complete some heroic missions.

I've played the game a few hours and can see myself sticking with it for a little while, at least.

yea got this last night along with the  tetris  switch demo.. played it about  hour....  wonder if the refills ever go higher then 2 apples... sucks you need apples to buy items as well   like  swords and stuff

i  doubt i put much cash into the game

i did the 200 for  1.69 and pushed the vigor  up to every 3 mins ..... next step is    1 every  min but  cost 300 apples. cost  i think 140   (40 for the 2nd step  100 for the  3rd step)

even buyig 200 apples it only pushed the tree from 5  apples to  8   every 12 hours

I'm in school and have a huge backlog, or else I probably would do the same. As it stands, very little time and less money, but if it goes on sale I'm all over it.

It seems like something I may drop in during the week, grab the apples, and pop out. Store them for when I feel like playing, which may be once a day when I do Badge Arcade.

Anyone else playing this Team Kirby Clash Deluxe thing?

Local multiplayer is fun, taking turns between the 3 of us helps spread the vigor.

Buying vigor and gem upgrade books is the worst way to spend apples. You get tons of gems from any matches, streetpasses, and 25+ per day if you own 5 amiibo. Vigor can be fully replenished with 2 apples if you can't wait.

Apples are best saved for crucial weapon/armor upgrades and most importantly unlocking new bosses to fight. World 5 needs approx 100 apples to unlock all of the new tough bosses that instantly appear once you get there.

Ah, I guess I was just early.  Though this stuff still isn't showing up on the eShop website for me.  Maybe my work filter blocks it.

The Trine games are great if you haven't played them yet.  I assume the B1G1 20% off deal still works with a discount?

I think the cross buy alone at that price makes it a worthwhile purchase.

Is there a generic Switch discussion thread that's not a graveyard? Trying to decide if I need 64 or 128 GB SD card. Eyeing the ones on sale at BB.

I'm a physical>digital guy so I just went with a 64GB card. That being said, I've probably bought more indie digital games on this thing alone than I have on any other system combined, but I still have a ton of room. So if you're going digital, make the investment, if not, go for 64GB.

Yeah that's what sounds logical but it is also only $22 in difference. I'm physical and don't get many indie games but since the Switch is portable I will probably buy more VC games than normal. I'm sure 64 will be enough in that case. Hopefully DLC for future games won't be crazy in size.

I believe Mario Kart is 10Gb install size.  I forget.  Ultimately, just go 128 and don't worry about it.

But if I'm physical do I need to worry about install sizes like I do on a PS4/XB1? Or does it read it all from the cart?

They don't AFAIK per say.  But they do have update files and all that should be stored on the SD card.  I just looked and as of right now Zelda only has 150Mb on the storage, SnipperClips 900Mb.  So maybe you'll be fine after all.  For some reason I thought I saw Zelda downloading a 4Gb patch but maybe I was mistaken.  So I'm at something like 24-27Gb System and 117Gb SD

Physical games are read entirely from the cart, except for patches which are downloaded to an SD card if there is one inserted, or system storage as a last resort. Pretty much once you insert an SD card everything except saves will automatically go there. Most of MK's size on the Wii U was from the DLC, as this is included in the Switch version the file size taken up by a physical copy of MK8 shouldn't be anything huge.

Not that you need any validation, but I was in the same spot and made the same decision. If/when the need to upgrade ever comes up, it will be far enough into the future the price on big cards will have come down quite a bit.

I just don't trust space issues anymore, even going physical, because updates have become ludicrous.  I bought Doom on PS4 physical and it had a 15G install and a 30G update right out of the box.  I had to set that to download overnight and the game now takes up 10% of my harddrive by itself.  I know it's a little different on the Switch, but never assume it's too different.
