Weird. I tried just now and it worked fine. Maybe it's a closed list or something. I don't know much about Twitter, other than that I don't like it much. I only made an account to follow people on that list.

Maybe someone here can put together a list (FriskyTanuki).
There's a list link on the 6th post of the thread.

I have a question:

I'm on IOS, and Miitomo is already picking up some space, i have read that as long as i have my Miitomo linked to my Nintendo Account it's all good if i delete right?

Or do i just lose everything if i delete?
According to Nintendo, as long as your account is linked, your stuff is saved to the Cloud.

Why is it that every time Nintendo does anything online, there's some sort of issue?  Like others I had issues with getting the verification code email.  It would get sent, but not until several hours later by which time the code had already expired.  Took me 3 days of trying before one actually arrived immediately instead of before it expired.  Then with the point code from having been in Club Nintendo, it took me far too long to find that it was hiding under the tiny menu button in the upper left corner and with the code they sent it can't just be copied and pasted because the -'s aren't supposed to be typed in.  Minor stuff, I know, but it would be nice if Nintendo just made a site that worked.

There are always issues with every website. That's not a Nintendo thing.

Yeah it's to be expected

Things will get worked out, everything has kinks in the beginning

is there a way to check expiration on the coins? I know it's 6 months from the day they are earned

Speaking of problems, there's a brick on the My Nintendo page; people have said you're supposed to click it and your Mii will be holding a block, but nothing ever happens when I click it. It just takes me back to the top of the page.

It never works. I've clicked it about a hundred times.
Try a different web browser maybe.

What people told you is correct. You click the brick at the bottom of the page, then your Mii will be holding a little box. You click him/her a bunch of times and you get coins. It only seems to work once. Meaning you can only get 10 bonus coins one time.

This new system sucks. And I want Warioware, and am actually willing to pay but it's not on the damn shop. If anyone gets Warioware and wants some $, hit me up, willing to buy it.

Not that it should surprise anyone, but Nintendo considers Monday the start of the week, so you can get 90 free Platinum coins by logging in to Miiverse, the eShop, and MyNintendo.

Login to eShop, Miiverse, and MyNintendo once a week for 90 coins. Link some accounts to MyNintendo for several hundred more.

I mean, even if you hate it, it takes very little time to get 1000 plat coins.

You are not the first person to say that logging into my.nintendo.com once a week gets you coins. I do not see the mission for this.

It's not a mission. It's a "hidden bonus" that's not really hidden, much like the "brick" trick. You login and there's a big coin on the ground. You click it and you get 30 coins.

Like so:

The little coin on the ground behind the guy.

How long are the % off coupons good for? It looks like most of them have to be redeemed by 5/1, but are they valid for eShop redemption beyond that?

I begin to think Nintendo asking us to log in  to the store once a week for coins will be a mistake as now everyone will be forced to see how utter shit these weekly updates are.

Can someone please explain to me the difference between which coins I can only use on my Miimoto app and which ones will be able to get free games and discounts?  I see that I can but a Mario suit and tickets for Miitomo drop but they will cost plat coins.  Why would I spend coins on a virtual costume when I can use it toward a free game or discounted one?

platinum and gold POINTS come from doing missions and buying games

the little gold coins in the app are used for stuff on the app like costumes and such

Okay so when it wants me to spend 250 platinum coins for a mario suit or a ticket, I am better off saving those coins for a game or discount right? The thousands of gold Miitomo coins I have are used only in Miitomo for buying clothing right?

Correct, anything on the website uses actual coins. Unless you have to have a Mario outfit for Miitomo, save your coins for games and discounts.

Miitomo coins are just in the app. They throw them at you every day. Buy whatever you want inside the app.

yeah if you're more into the games and discounted dlc use it for that

the gold coins within the app can't be used for discounted games or dlc at this time so you can use those for in app stuff for your mii character

The thing is there aren't enough platinum games compared to the amount of points you can get. You can get 365 points per week. They probably won't add new platinum games until Warioware and Zelda Picross expire in July and October. They'll rotate themes monthly. And the discounts so far are low percentages off of digital versions of retail games, which I have a feeling most here won't bother with.

So for that reason I'm thinking of just getting the Mario suit and even the two game ticket offers that expire this month so the points don't go to waste. I don't even care about the clothes in Miitomo and I've been hoarding the game tickets in hope of a better minigame or better rewards at some point since Mii Drop is terrible. But exclusive limited time Nintendo clothes is an exclusive.

mynintendo is something I realllllyyyyy want to like but unfortunately is something I am having a reallllllyyyyy hard time being able to

no points for dlc? no thanks

no 1 point per 1 dollar? no thanks

massive gold points for 15-30%? no thanks

pushing digital when you sell a 32 gig system that never had a very good way to handle purchased content from the get-go? no thanks

with that being said I still waste my time every morning answering terribly mundane questions and changing outfits to collect coins in hopes some of the above changes

I think a couple of things when I read this.

First, it is a loyalty program, please remind me of the other amazing loyalty programs game companies have?

Second this is just the beginning. This was to revamp the very poor club nintendo. We still have a lot of new stuff coming. It will be interesting to see what happens with their other mobile apps and new system(s)

All that being said I dont think your issues are wrong or bad, but more a caution to everyone to step back and get some perspective.

It's a loyalty program that doesn't inspire loyalty,is the point. Pretty low-tier rewards and overly pushing a digital storefront that was flawed from the ground up don't feel like much of a Thank You.

All we can do is hope that things improve from here on. But Nintendo has never been great at improving, especially with online services.

Full free games is pretty motivating for me, especially when all I have to do is login to some websites. The rest of the rewards are uninteresting, but games are a good reward. They've also said they'll add other kinds of rewards in the future, like physical items.

Is Life of Pixel worth $5?
It's supposed to be an alright platformer, but not amazing:

I know it's early days but I liked Club Nintendo, sure the surveys were a pain but at least you got something for physical purchases as well as digital.

I think this new thing needs some major improvements, unless you're all digital on your Nintendo consoles which doesn't seem like the majority.

Except that we know that physical codes are coming. The site has it built in for codes. Tehy mentioned it when talking about the program.

They just rolled this out now.

Is live and plus not better? Plus has underwhelmed me in recent years, though.

More importantly, how was club nintendo poor?

I dunno if those are the sale prices on the games I see on the website for the spring sale but lol if they are
No, those are the full prices. They're not updated to sale prices for some reason.
