Life is Strange LE (X1) $25 or $20 with GU

Is this game worth it? Haven't heard much about but I'm intrigued by it.
I bought the digital season pass and I enjoyed the game a lot. For someone who has played it, imo it might be worth it for the CD and art if the LE is $20. But if you never played it before, then yeah $25/$20GCU is a treat

It's fun and the type of story being told is very different from most video games, so that's refreshing. If you like stuff like Telltale's The Walking Dead, I would definitely recommend Life is Strange.

I bought it at full price having never played it or hearing much about it. I really like point and click games (Telltale, Lucas Arts, etc).

I enjoyed playing it. It was an easy platinum. The characters were fairly believable and it was fun enough to play. The graphics were so-so, but whatever, I'm not really picky about visual presentations anyway.

The story and dialogue...I'm really torn on. I wanted to know what happened so I kept playing. It just seemed to me like it was written by some 10th grader trying to make an edgy story for their creative writing class. It feels like it tries too hard a lot of the time and something about the exchanges between characters seemed really fake and hollow. I never felt any real connection to the characters despite choosing their fates and learning their stories.

I'd say it's definitely worth $20, even before the extras. Just don't expect it to be game of the year.

I will just say I personally did not like it and the game is definitely not for everyone. The story is like a teen soap opera. I liked Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls and all of Telltale's story based games.

My PS4 LE orders came in the mail today.  Shipped separately in cheap bubble mailers, lucky no damage!!!

How does it play?  Similar to Telltale's games?  I've been playing the Wolf game with my girlfriend and we both absolutely love it

Fairly similar in a lot of ways...like the central "make choices or say certain things, and it effects the story" mechanic. It felt a little like a combination of a Telltale game and Heavy Rain in terms of vibe and gameplay mechanics, if that makes any sense.

Got the whole season pass and game when it was 10 bucks and all digital. IMO that's the perfect price for this game. It's interesting and the ability to make choices is great but it's similar to Telltale games where you look around at stuff, talk to people, make decisions, etc. If you like that kind of game then check this out.

I loved Life is Strange, easily one of my top 3 favorite games from 2015. Definitely a game to play with your significant other as well, my girlfriend was hooked on this game when we played it.

I guess we're the dissenting opinion here but I just could not stand this game.

If anyone has a low tolerance for teen angst and hipsters then I'd think twice about it. And I also liked the Telltale stuff so it's not the format I take issue with.

A lot of it just rings really cliche and phony to me. It's filled with tropes and stereotypes of teens and the Pacific Northwest as well as a fair bit anachronistic slang and clothing to the point where you can tell the people who made this were young in the early 90s.

It's fine that other people liked it but it's definitely not for me and I wish I had tried it out or just bought the first chapter instead of the whole thing prior to playing it.
