I love talking E3 so much fun to try and guess what we will see. I'm hoping for some huge surprises from Microsoft this year since it seems like they need a ton of games. And Sony has so many games out there they need to tell us more about!

I did spend some time talking about this on my YouTube channel as well.

Ubisoft -I'm excited to see gameplay for Farcry5. FarCry games are some of my favorite games, FarCry4 was my first PlAyStation Platinum trophy. Also I imagine Ubisoft will show another new IP to close the conference.

Bethesda -I'm hoping for The Evil Within 2.

Microsoft -Looking forward to hearing about Scorpio. What's it look like? How much? Also I'd love to see actual game play from State of Decay 2.

EA- I'm hoping to see some Star Wars games besides Battlefront 2. Ea Access announced for PS4.

PlayStation- I'd love to see some game play and release dates for Spider-Man, Days Gone, and God of War. Also hoping for some good PSVR support. Maybe we will see see the new Sucker Punch game.

Nintendo - Hoping to see some Switch games. Can't wait for a better look at Mario Odyssey. Maybe news on the Switch Virtual Console. And the SNES Classic.

This is just some quick bullet points. Hoping for some surprise announcements. Maybe a Rocksteady game.

The Nintendo Direct gave us a look at what's coming for Pokemon:

Pokken Tournament DX (glad I didn't buy the Wii U version)

Pokemon UltraSun and UltraMoon (for 3DS...there goes the "Pokemon Stars rumors)

Pokemon Gold and Silver remakes on VC

My hope is M$ actually makes the move they need to: a gaming console running windows 10. They have lost the console war so they need to play to their greatest strength and the direction they have been moving in recent years, marrying PC gaming with consoles using their OS and incorporating PC games along with it. Imagine Scorpio as a proverbial Steam box that finally delivers a PC gaming experience on your 65" TV. All the functionality and productivity of a PC with the ability to pick up either a keyboard/mouse or a controller. Suddenly they're tapping into an entire library of exclusive games, PC only games old and new, and drawing on the power of indie to support it.

That's the direction they must take if they want to survive. Anything less and it will just be a powerful box with pretty, ported games and barely any exclusives. Alan Wake 2 will be a thing though.

For Sony, they need to not rest on their laurels and get comfortable again, so I'd like to see them continue doing exactly what they have been. Bloodborne 2 will be a nice surprise I think but we need to see something new again, something from an unknown in the industry; something fresh. Right about now is when the generation starts to sag a bit and we need that next new uncharted or shadows of the colossus feel. Sony is the king of exclusives, I want to see what they've come up with to propel us out of redundancy and sequels.

Nintendo just needs to announce SNESC and we're good. Switch sucks. fuck Switch.

A xbox that runs Windows 10 could be amazing. I'd sell my Xbox One for one instantly. That would explain why all Xbox Exclusives are play anywhere. I actually thought they said something like that when the Xbox One was first unveiled. Maybe it was that it'd run a form of Windows.

I believe I read that Shawn Layden confirmed Playstation will show God of War, Spider-Man, and Days Gone. I actually thought one might skip e3, but I'll be happy to see all three. Maybe they are farther along then everyone thinks.

I'm hoping X-Men characters will be announced for the base Marvel vs Capcom Infinite game. And I'm hoping Agents of Mayhem looks awesome enough that I'll want to get it at release. Anything for Resident Evil 2: Remake would be nice.

And I'm guessing at Sony's press conference Capcom will announce the Street Fighter V content that is rumored to be coming.

I think that same interview he also said he doesn't plan on spending much time talking. So here's hoping for a good run through of games like last year!

I hope Nintendo will announce a Smash Bros port for the Switch.

Square Enix: for the love of your consumers, please stop showing trailers for games that are 3+ years out......my heart can't take it.

Well, we're in a transition year. This year we aren't actually going to have any meaningful hardware announcements. If we do, it will come as a surprise.

Microsoft announced their new 1X system variation. But this is a future-proofing system evolution, not a true new hardware platform. There's nothing wrong with that. But such an announcement also has significantly less urgency. I won't be lining up to pick up an 1X at launch for the same reason that I didn't bother getting a 1S, or a PS4 Slim, or a PS4 Pro. These are just revisions on platforms that I already have. The 1X is just a transition, and one that won't become truly important for another two or three years. (much more likely to be three)

So for the time being the most important thing to come out of this E3 is going to be the games. Which is fine by me. I look forward to seeing some of the exciting content that will be coming to the various platforms.

Well I'm 0/1 so far, M$ didn't deliver anything I'm interested in nor what they needed to do. I actually turned off the conference early for the first time ever after seeing the price as nothing else would convince me. Hoping for at least one game to be excited about but honestly, I think I'm bored with console gaming right now. Even a stellar showing from Sony would fall flat at this point.

Beyond Good and Evil II confirmed! The whole show was now officially worth the trouble. Also, I was actually pretty intrigued by the Rabbids/Mario crossover title. I'm glad that they went with a less traditional mechanic. It looks like it could be pretty fun.

It's strange but despite never having played the first game, I knew exactly what was being shown from the start with BGE2. Now I'm intrigued. Mainly want to play the shit out of Far Cry 5 though. That looks awesome and will co-op with the GF for sure. :D

I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority here but Metroid died for me when it went 3D. I just couldn't get into it.

Also, no SNESC announced; when was NESC announced? Not sure if they fucked up bad yet. . .

Overall e3 has been pretty luke warm. While no one had a truly bad conference, they just weren't over the top great either. Very little surprises and everything that was announced was predicted. BG&E2 is that even a game at this point? Or just telling us they are starting production? About the same with Pokemon Switch and Metroid Prime4.

Hope we get a better look at a few titles throughout the week.
Far Cry 5(was hoping for a 10 minute demo) I believe Ubisoft and Sony both demoed FC4.
The Evil Within 2, was there any gameplay at all?
That Metro game looks good, are the other Metro games similar to what was shown? If so I might have to check them out.
Anthem looks good but I'm afraid it's going to be too much like Destiny and be online only.
State of Decay 2 seemed weird, as much as I enjoyed the first one, it just didn't look good.
While Spiderman, Days Gone, and God of War look good, I was hoping one would make it this Fall.
Assassin's Creed actually looks good.

Sorry for rambling......

I agree with you that overall I'm feeling a bit underwhelmed by this E3. While I'm ecstatic that a Metroid Prime 4 was announced, I think I would have preferred nothing at all to just a title card. Too many companies tease these games that are 3+ years til they actually come out, and I'm too old and busy to get excited for something for years at a time.

Have to agree with all of you. Rough E3 this year not a whole lot stands out. Just felt like one big update on things we already knew about

There's a 2D Metroid coming to 3DS.
aaah now I know why Nintendo filed a takedown request under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) against the developer of Project AM2R aka fan remake of Metroid 2.
