GF games often seem brand-new, especially with all current gen stuff being on bluray discs, which are harder to scratch. Of course, people find ways to damage them anyway, but it's uncommon. I've ordered probably at least 10 games from them over the last 2-3 years, and only one of them was damaged. Generally, I think you can buy with confidence.

Almost every order I've ever placed with Gamefly had chipped discs so i'm hesitant to order from them anymore... great pricing but I've received some pretty crappy discs many times. And they wont let you exchange them either. Just return for refund :/

Book of Unwritten Tales is really fun. I haven't beaten it yet, but if you're into point & click games plus fantasy spoof (references to Harry Potter, LotR, fairly tales, etc.), this is a fun game for $2.

Two people on TA have unlocked it so far. According to the guys who unlocked it, it took about 50 hours of practice to get a perfect run down. Sounds like a good time.

Interesting. The chipped disc I had was from last year, I wonder if there's been a change in the way they process or package discs which is damaging them? Because I bought a lot of PS3 games from them over the years which were always like-new.

It is a game that encourages replays. Both by achievements like finish game without doing X or only doing X, and by having lots of ways to accomplish goals.

If you would like have a game like fallout 3/4/new Vegas digitally then I would say this falls into that camp. Granted, not as good as fallout but it is in my replay back log

Wanted to mention since it came up with Destiny 2 that there is a bundle that I missed with both the game and the expansion pass. That’s $67.49. I had thought the Delixe Edition at $74.99 was the only thing that included both.

Anyway, I contacted MS chat because I was planning to eventually get the expansion pass. But thought it was no cheaper with the Deluxe Edition that it would have been for me to buy it separately later. They refunded my base game purchase and I’m going to get the bundle.

Just thought I’d mention it since earlier I had posted saying it wouldn’t make a difference if I got it later. Anyway. Saved me another $7.50.

It's definitely not just an issue from the past year.  Personally, I ordered a Wii game in 2007 and had this problem.  This disc was chipped all around the edges.  The game seemed to work, but I didn't even like putting it in my console for fear of it causing some sort of damage.

 

Then, I ordered two 360 games in late 2013 and they both had the exact same problem as the Wii disc did six years earlier.  This time, I returned both games and vowed to never purchase from GameFly again.

They must. Ubisoft club has their weird achievements for beating 1 and all 4. Osiris didn't even show up for me until I hit like level 25. I just hit 32 last night, wonder if I should try this one and see how it goes but even at level 30 I get 2 hit by enemies in the level 40 regions.

 

 

Picked up Injustice 2 last night after multiple suggestions. Still contemplating on a few other games

Spec Ops is absolutely a slept on last gen niche classic. It plays like a 2nd rate Gears Of War cover shooter but thats not a bad thing. The story and the characters are the stars of the show. It must be played. Go get it.

 

 

Darkness II is a lot of fun, the powers make you feel like a bad ass and its definitely worth a play. 

 

Played a bit of Crackdown 1 a few years back, just couldn't get into it. It looks and plays like an early last gen game through and through. Personally I'd say skip it, it hasn't aged well gameplay wise. I'm sure it was the shit when it first came out though.

 

Lost Planet 2 is one of the worst games I've ever played. I tried to run it in co-op with my cousin when it came out and we shut that shit off after a couple hours. Didn't like it at all.

Street fighter 3 is interesting because there are fighters that you will never see again.

 

I hate lost planet. Robots. Too hard

 

I like Crackdown 1. Part 2 isn't fun. I am thinking they'll be included with crackdown 3.

 

Castlevania games are always good. Symphony is a must have. You might want to skip Harmony if you don't plan on buying all the DLC. Probably an extra $25 for everything. Also keep in mind that there is a 30 minute timer for each level.
