F1 2015 was also the worst entry in the series since Codemasters took over in 2010. It’s like they weren’t entirely sure how to make a game for the Xbox One.

Eh, I like the FIFA, NHL & F1 games but I usually just play whatever year there is, I don't play then year in year out with each iteration that comes out. Thought about picking up the NHL/FIFA bundle they had on sale and then figured I'm ok playing NHL/FIFA 16 tbh.

The only game I don't own off the top of my head I'd probably give a shot is Halo 5 but I haven't played MCC yet.

Today is the last day to pick up those free Minecraft skin packs.  I wanted to get them for the Win10 edition, and encountered the same error I've been having with my Windows 10 Xbox app as well:

 

"We can't sign you in right now (0x406)"

 

I'd looked into this before, but never found the solution, even on Microsoft's own forums.  Turns out the solution is remarkably simple - just install the free Xbox Identity App and it will magically work again.  Why this wasn't included in Windows Update, or even referred to in the error message, I'll never understand.

Ya, it's not perfect, but given that I listed it as one of my top games of 2017 I feel compelled to chip in.  Like a lot of shooters, the vehicle dynamics leave a lot to be desired, and my solution was just not to use the bike.  There are only a few places where you must use it thankfully.  There is bullet drop to account for which may be impacting your sniping. 

 

As for the enemy AI, what difficulty are you playing on and how far along are you?  The game layers on the difficulty, and having played it through twice (including Deathwish difficulty) I don't think you'll be lacking a challenge at different points.   There is a stealth mechanic too, so it is possible to creep quite close.

 

As for the overall quality of the game, I think the campaign blows games like Battefront 2 out of the water.  Like all games, it depends what you're looking for, but you could do a LOT worse for $10 than the full Homefront bundle.

Can confirm. Just worked for me on east coast. Did 18 months for $49.98.

Edit: Be aware codes printed on reciept are good until 6/30/2018. May want to take that into consideration as I think you can only be paid ahead 3 years on your XBL membership.

This weekend I joined two clubs:

 

The 4K Club:  I bought the 4K TV that GS offers because I had points out the wazzoo.  My first impression:  Destiny looked good and it looked smooth, but the lag on it was disembowelingly noticeable.  The TV was going to go in my office to replace the Roku TV that crapped out after only 15 months of incredibly light use, but instead my wife snagged it for her office.  Now if I can get her to watch some 4K content on it I think the seed will have been planted.

 

The FH3 Club:  Still having GS points out the wazzoo, I bought the FH3+Hot Wheels 500GB console for a decent price with the intention of trading the game back in to offset the cost, but apparently it is a code.  I may have to play it instead.

I'm playing it on easy and got "The Brain". I'm enjoying the game more with a shotgun since the shooting feels more premise.

 

I did solve another problem where I forgot I can unequip a weapon which makes travel easier. I would like to see a motorcycle a little more often since I am running .. a lot.   

 

There is no lack of challenge, although the "Hearts and Minds" challenge was annoying since it doesn't track an objective you already completed (cutting wires, saving civiilan) and I found myself doing the same thing over and over since it doesn't reset at a Game Over.

Been playing Gears 4 with the $1 game pass. Looks like a easy finish by the 22nd. Anyways...playing it has brought back some nostalgia to play the first with my son. Anyone have an extra code I could load on his new to him 360 would be appreciated.

The topic has come up before about how much game time is needed to appreciate a game, with some people weighing in at less time, and others (mostly me I guess) saying that more time is necessary.   I completed Prey this weekend, and would say that is a game that requires almost a full playthrough before it becomes truly fun.  After that though, you know the maps and mechanics so well that subsequent runs are much more enjoyable.

 

Next on the list is the new Hitman, which is also TA's playlist game for January.  I started it tonight, and after about 4 hours I'm frustrated as hell.  The game is tough!  The prelude was ok, but the Paris map is huge and I'm stymied at every turn.  Throwing in the towel for the night I found this on Reddit: https://www.reddit.c...really_suck_at/

We should see titles this week. Major Nelson said no new releases till the new year. Team should have been back at work sometime mid to late last week. Wouldn't be surprised to see nothing Tuesday but Thursday should be almost guaranteed.
