The topic has come up before about how much game time is needed to appreciate a game, with some people weighing in at less time, and others (mostly me I guess) saying that more time is necessary. I completed Prey this weekend, and would say that is a game that requires almost a full playthrough before it becomes truly fun. After that though, you know the maps and mechanics so well that subsequent runs are much more enjoyable.
Next on the list is the new Hitman, which is also TA's playlist game for January. I started it tonight, and after about 4 hours I'm frustrated as hell. The game is tough! The prelude was ok, but the Paris map is huge and I'm stymied at every turn. Throwing in the towel for the night I found this on Reddit: https://www.reddit.c...really_suck_at/
The first response says it all:
I felt the exact same way when I first got the game and I'm a long time Hitman veteran. After about 10 or so hours, you'll start to get really good at it and learn how things work. Just keep trying and pushing through the "am I an idiot?" phase.
So, at 10 hours, I have 6 hours left of frustration before the game will start to be enjoyable. Hopefully I make it
