Gears 4 Collectors Edition - $49.99 w/ Free Ship @ Microsoft Store

Ughhh, I really don't need this thing but I'm afraid if I pass it'll sell out and go for $400 later like the Wolfenstein New Order CE.
 
Ya'll enjoy this. I played this already when I bought it originally. I'm cool on collector's edition figurines hanging out in my house. Great title though, I just never stayed continuing onward after the campaign.

 
5 years or so ago I would have been all over this, but sadly I swore off giant CEs due to lack of space...

Still a great deal though as it comes with the ultimate edition of GOW4 inside.

In case anyone here doesn't know, the Ultimate Edition's season pass is useless unless you reeeeaaaaly wanna play the DLC maps in private.

 
Yeah the Ultimate edition content is basically worthless now unless you play offline horde. So unless you really want the statue, I would still avoid this, as Gears 4 is part of game pass anyways.

Not entirely since I believe it gives you 25 epic packs to open so there's that.

Same here. Several people on SD also reported the same thing. Called MS and they are sending me the Ultimate Edition separately. On the phone for 30+ minutes. What a hassle.
 
Was much quicker for me, 10min. She was really putting it on, So we are crediting your account for 115 something dollars which is the cost of the ultimate addition we are adding credit to your account to come up to that amount so even know you only paid $50 we are doing this out of a courtesy.... Seriously she told me this about three or four times
 
I got the Collector's Edition today. I had to call Microsoft because the steel book and game were actually missing out of the package. Replacement game is being sent.

Edit - just read the previous posts. Apparently this is happening to everyone

Same here... Mine arrived without the Steel book and game. Contacted the support and will send the ultimate edition in 3-5 days.

Pretty sure the credit placed in your account was towards purchase the Ultimate Edition version of the game, and no one got the game, as well as keep that credit.

I said in the post you quoted that they spent it on the replacement. Two people posted that they received the game and a refund over $100. Read the posts from yesterday if you're interested.

 
I just got done with a Microsoft rep through chat and he escalated the problem to a higher division. Guess I'll have to wait and see, glad to see there are some here that got the issue rectified.

Which two folks received the game as well as the $100? Genuinely curious because I didn’t see anyone who specifically posted this. Good for them if they did, but I’m happy MS sent me the replacement.

Yeah I just got off the phone and the rep said she was going to escalate but I persisted and she was able to do a replacement order for just the game. So for anyone else who calls in and they get told it's going to be escalated, don't settle for it.

Did they ask you guys to send an email back to customer service with a photo of the item/statue?
 
I called them and they just refunded me. The game is out of stock apparently so they couldn't send me a replacement game.

Oh well I guess a free GoW4 statue is not bad haha.
 
Well, took a chance and returned the game, they issued me a $108 credit. Used that with those 20% off coupons and got the 1tb console with shadow of war and assassins creed collection for a bit over $100, $130 including tax.
 
I chatted with another rep after not getting an email from their escalation team, new rep said he will have a physical game sent out to me.  But I have yet to receive a shipping notice, then today the escalation team sent me an email requesting pictures of what I received.  Man, this is getting more troublesome than it's worth.

Yeah I didn't get a shipping notice for 10 days, so I chatted in with another rep and he said he would take care of it. Finally got a shipping notice a couple days after that.
