FWIW the copy I got from my local MS store wasn't the 'day one' edition, but you can unlock the characters that it immediately unlocked through regular gameplay, not positive on the bonus avatars

 
i was able to get Best buy to pricematch this price through customer service when i bought it last week for $23.99
 
How much did you guys get it for? $19.95 or $9.95. It rang up $19.95 at my nearest store. I also picked up the crew 2 gold edition for $29.99 and sonic mania plus for $14.99.

$9.95. Go show them a photo of the discount on microsoftstore.com. That's how they sold it to me for $10 instead of $20.

I did show them, but they said that was just for the day 1 edition. Didn't feel like arguing. Oh well, pretty happy about the other games I got. Thanks for the reply.
 
So glad I decided to wander here instead of to a porn site while sitting on a toilet. Now I don't have to wait for Black Friday. :D

Tried to price match at Best Buy and was denied, it actually rings up Day One edition too. They claimed since it was out of stock online they couldn't honor it even though I showed them it was available instore.

That is their policy, it has to be in stock for them to price match it. They could have called the store to confirm if it was in stock but it has to be a local store (within a 25 mile radius from that current store).

You could try to price match online via chat or calling in though.

Does suck for people who don't have a Microsoft store near them. I'm lucky to have 2 right down the street from me. Think there's only 50+ in America too o not many options for those that want deals there.
